So it has been a while since my mate and I stayed here as we toured around the Lake District on our bikes. I have not had such a warm welcome at a B&B before. The owners were amazing and even gave up their private garage just so our bikes were safe. THAT'S QUALITY. Great tips given on local places... More

Hello Chaps! I'm really glad we have stuck in your fond memories section - we are doing something right! As for keeping the garage free for your bikes - Ah well two reasons for that 1. My dear old Dad only had bikes in his garage when I was a child so the trait continues (even in the female line)... More

Thoroughly enjoyed a one night stay in this spotlessly clean B & B with our two dogs. A lovely comfy bed which gave us a good night's sleep, although I was so worried about our dogs leaving any puddles or parcels on the floor of a new 'smelling' room that I took them out for a walk at 12.30 am... Hi there I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, even though it was a bit of a trek up and down the stairs. We do have a ground floor double that we can use for dog friendly bookings, but this is popular and does get booked up quickly - no sea view, but then the view from the breakfast room makes... More

Just enjoyed another visit to the warm and welcoming Wimslow - delighted to find that it's now, officially, 'adults only' which adds to the peaceful and friendly ambience of this lovely B&B. The breakfast prepared and served by Paula and Dave has to be the best in the North West. We stayed in room 15 which was spotlessly clean and... More

Oh, it was truly great to see you both again and I'm glad the views were good for you from your room. It is often the case that we get good views as the temperature drops off a little. Fresh and clear autumn and winter mornings allow for crisp clear views. We have had some super duper clear views after... More

For some reason 'The WIlmslow' is only rated as a 3* AA rated establishment ! From our initial enquiry and booking several weeks ago to arriving and departing we were made to feel most welcome by our erstwhile hosts. Nothing was too much trouble or effort for them. Rooms spacious and SPOTLESS. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and HOT ! Amazing... More

Hi guys! Thank you so much for the positive feedback - was a super weekend all round. Grading criteria look at things like having a knee-hole dressing table (or desk) in all rooms and lots of other bits and bobs - you would be amazed! We are trying to walk the line between pleasing the grading body and making changes... More

Brought my mum up to Morecambe for a couple of days as she'd visited the place long long ago and having seen an article about the place on TV more recently, was curious to know what it was like these days. I had never visited the town before. I found the Wimslow modestly listed on this website. The other great... More

Hi there! Thank you so much for the kind comments. We really enjoyed meeting you both, all be it brief. When you are back this way again make sure the sketch book is packed and then we can have an art session in the breakfast room, drawing the boats anchored just off the beach. I'll make sure there are extra... More

Following a cancelled camping trip due to the british weather, after trawling online for a seaside place to stay we stumbled along this dog friendly b and b. It is difficult to always find dog friendly places and this one made us all very welcome. The rooms are spotless and are cleaned daily. Paula and Dave will make you feel... More

Hi! Thank you so much for the great comments. We really enjoyed meeting you all and it was a pleasure to talk with you both. I'm going to get on the case and see if we cannot get a dog friendly network developed so we can better advise our guests with dogs where they will be welcome. More

I called on Sunday if we could come on Monday till Thursday. No problem. Also my Sheltie Dora was welcome. Due to a havy traffic Iwas very late but a phone to Paula solved this problem. A warm welcome. Nice clean room, clean bathroom. The view from the breakfast room is fabulous. Very tasty, hot English breakfast even for a... More

Was a pleasure meeting you and Dora (little cutie). We are glad to have opted to set aside a couple rooms as dog friendly - we are meeting some great people as a result! If you do come back this way would be wonderful to see pups and I'm looking forward to the pics! More

I can only reiterate 100% the reviews that have already been placed here. Spotlessly clean, such a comfortable bed, crisp linen, beautiful views and friendly hosts Paula and Dave. Their knowledge of the local area was spot on and they were happy to advise on amenities and ideas on where to visit. Just the right distance away from the main... More

Having never been to Morecambe before I searched the internet earlier in the year for a place to stay and liked the sound of The Wimslow.
