Beautifully restored public rooms with a genuine period feel. The artworks are fabulous, in particular the Eric Gill bas-relief in the foyer and his circular ceiling medallion overlooking the spiral staircase, as well as reproductions of the original Eric Ravilious murals in the Rotunda Bar. The spiral staircase is something special too. Work continues on restoring the original floor in... More

There would be no reason why we would not stop here again. It is a wonderful hotel with some very friendly staff. My criticism would be with the room (206). The room itself is large but it is what is lacking that was a disappointment. The room has no seating apart from two rather uncomfortable chairs and a small table.... More

I love the Art Deco style and fancied a stay here. Booked afternoon tea and dinner B & B. Enjoyed every minute of the stay. Food was excellent but we needed a 4 mile walk on the prom before we could even think about dinner! We were lucky to get sunny weather at the end of March too. Just something... More

This has to rate as one of my favourite hotels of all time. Over the years I have watched it go from unloved derelict eyesore into a boutique hotel restored to its former glory, but with the benefit of modern comforts. I would always recommend a room with a sea view. We slept with our balcony door open and fell... More

We visited this hotel at 9.45 on a Wednesday morning after driving up from Manchester airport with the intention of having some breakfast before attending a funeral in the area. We were a party of four. Two eldery ladies in the party. We enquired about coffee but were told that they did not start serving coffee until 10.30 but we... More

I first saw this hotel many years ago as a child, and decided to pay a visit for an anniversary. We were so pleased that we did, as everything was excellent from check in to checkout. Check in was quick and painless, and within minutes we were in our room, which was clean and bright, and with the most quirky... More

Well there was no vicar to be honest but plenty of tea. We were a party of 28 booked into the Oliver Hill room at this beautiful Art Deco hotel on the sea front at Morecambe. The tea was magnificent, we started with a choice of piping hot tea in lovely china tea pots or caffetiers of coffee poured into... More

The hotel has been renovated, but all the Art Deco features have been kept. We went there for a light lunch in their coffee bar which faces Morecambe Bay. The view was special. The staff were helpful and the food 5 Star

Had high expectations for this hotel for the price and reviews i was expecting at the very least a clean carpet in our room. A wine cork and confetti left on the floor gave it away, we paid extra for a sea view, that was seen through dirty glass, the rest of the room was ok maybe the chairs could... More

This hotel definitely has the 'wow' factor. Art Deco building, sun terrace overlooking Morecambe Bay for afternoon tea, breakfast and evening meal. Staff efficient, friendly and welcoming. Beautiful spiral staircase and red carpet. Well equipped bedroom and bathroom -curved walls and elegant modern décor.
