Just back from a couple of nights with my Mum. Beautiful art deco hotel, our room was huge and well appointed. Thoughtful touches eg robes, milk in fridge, safe large enough to take laptop. Restaurant all glass walled, looking out over the pier, sea and mountains of the Lakes. Food excellent at dinner both nights. Breakfast good choice and all... More

As I have a relative in the town, I have visited Morecambe for some years and have stayed regularly at the Midland. It has become quite a 'friend' and somewhat of an 'oasis' and on the occasions that they are fully booked it has quite dampened my mood, as quite literally one has no comparable choice to make. The gap... More

I booked my parents into The Midland for a Sunday night stay. I upgraded for a balcony and sea view. They loved the hotel, found the staff extremely friendly and helpful and their meals. It was a special treat for a birthday and on their recommendation I will be going myself.

The Midland is an iconic twenties hotel with great style and service. Morecambe itself isn't particularly exciting but there are so many places to visit close by - such as Lancaster which is only three miles down the road.

We stayed at the Midland for my husbands birthday and also went for the D B and B offer. The hotel is an architectural wonder and it feels like you've gone back in time (not in a bad way). The food in the restaurant was lovely and the view from the restaurant was amazing. We had a lovely time.

The Midland was a delight, and the staff helpful and nice. Both our dinner and breakfast were good. The downside is just a lack of other attractions in Morecambe.... there was nowhere nearby of any interest to visit / go for a drink / eat on a blowy May day. Whilst the hotel has many qualities, I did find the... More

Was really looking forward to afternoon tea on a grand scale, but felt a little deflated. It was really hot and sunny on the day we visited and we were sat right in the window , fantastic views but uncomfortable in the sun. Asked to be moved to another table just out of the sun and was politely informed the... More

Dear dolphinlee Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to The Midland for afternoon tea. I was sorry to read of your dissatisfaction with some aspects of this - please rest assured that our sandwiches are freshly made and, whilst our afternon tea selection is 'set' so as to guarantee consistency and prompt service (our menu does... Stayed for one night and arrived in time to watch the sun go down which was spectacular...Its best described as "Still a work in progress" in my opinion. It has the location and the building is great with the art deco but somehow it was the little things that are not quite right....like the hand written laminated sign asking you... More

I have been longing to stay at the Midland since it was refurbished by Urban Splash a few years ago. My wish came true towards the end of April and I booked a short break for my wife and myself. Checking in at reception was quick an efficient and as soon as we opened the door of our large and... More
