We stayed here as it was near the starting point for the Way of the Roses Cycle route from Lancashire to Yorkshire. Hotel building is fab and the Art deco style staircase is stunning.

Stayed at the Midland for one night Inc of dinner. 29/5/12 from arrival to leaving, the staff were exemplary. Service in the bar through to the dining room was attentive; the food was excellent on every course, the same at breakfast.

On a trip up to the lakes, called into The Midland for lunch on Friday, had an excellent Tapas, some drinks, suprisingly well priced. Will definately go back , the view was wonderful. Staff very friendly. The decor is very Art Deco,furnishings beautiful, rugs amazing, well worth a visit. The walk on the pier is beautiful.

Came here for a bite and a couple drinks. Enjoyed the retro furniture, bar and lovely views. The walk around the waterfront nearby was nice too.

Very interesting bar and cafe restored to its 1920's design. Complete with Don Draper-esque sign fonts, vinyl wallpaper and 1920's music playing in the background. Recommended for a drink overlooking the bay.

Just come back from a two night break at the Midland for my Mum's and my birthday. It feels like a really special place, the staff were great and we had a lovely evening meal. Breakfast was also good Can't wait to go back!
