We just completed the Way of the Roses Cycle ride staying at 4 B&Bs on the route and this was the worst of the four. The welcome we received was a little austere. The rooms and hotel in general were in need of redecoration. Similarly it the towels seemed to date from the 1970s. The facilities in the room were... More

I booked The Westleigh through booking.com a few months in advance for 5 members of my staff who were working in the area for the bank holiday weekend for 3 nights. I rang the hotel 3 days before they arrived and spoke to the owner to inform them that they would be late checking in, approx midnight. He told me... More

I stayed here for 14 nights whilst on a training course. The price per night was about the same as others on the same road. I stayed in room 12, which was on the top floor, far corner. It was a double room with a small shower/ensuite. On the positive side, the price was reasonable for the size of room... More

If artexs ceiling, 1970's style bathrooms and a cold room is what you're looking for then the Westleigh is right up your street With a tiny telly, scabby neighbours walls, smaller than small shower room and intermittent wifi. 2 out of 4 light bulbs work in our room, the few power sockets are miles away from the beds. Noisy neighbours... More

As much as it is distant from the railway station (20 min walk if you're dragging luggage), once you have arrived ,you immediately notice two well frequented bus stops outside the premises ! Yes, you're prob thinking why would I want to get a local bus when we came here to escape the everyday travel anguish . If you want... More

My husband and I booked this hotel for 2 nights after much searching on the net. The room was on the third floor with only a stair lift to. the second floor. The room was very small and the bathroom was tiny. The washbasin was the type you get in a railway toilet and the shower was too small to... More

I stayed at the Westleigh in January 2014. It's right on the seafront road overlooking Morecambe Bay. It was easy enough to park a car. I parked right outside the guest house. That was fortunate as it was raining heavily that evening. I stayed in a ground floor single room with ensuite. It was basic but adequate for a short... More

My husband, 7 year old Son and I stayed at The Westleigh for 1 night at the end of July. We had room 8 on the 2nd floor which was fine for all 3 of us. Very clean, with tea/coffee facilities and a good flat screen TV. Small ensuite but good shower - plenty hot water and good water pressure.... More

The room number 12 we had overlooked the front and was on the fourth floor. A very pleasant view. The bed was small and the room tired. The shower dribbled water. We had a nice breakfast and the owners were very accommodating with all our cycling gear. Simply you get what you pay for. In my opinion, the room is... More

We booked into this hotel by using the 'internet booking' and it seemed to work perfectly. But when we arrived the next day they knew nothing about it (nothing had came through). However they had vacancies so it turned out alright after all. By the way we had not been asked for any deposit ets. Perhaps it is best to... More
