Maybe My wife and I are hard to please but we were not as impressed with this B&B as other reviewers have written. Yes, the price (£38pppn) was good, the breakfast excellent, beds comfortable and the location, as others said, was a 10 minute walk from the town centre. We did get the last room available at fairly (1 week)... More

We stayed here on a walking weekend in the NY Moors. This really is a converted mill, with much of the original machinery still in place and working. The rooms were a good size and well appointed and the location, about 10 mins walk away from the centre is a pleasant stroll (if it isn't raining!). You need a good... More

We stayed here for three nights for the Pickering 60's weekend. Lovely place to stay with nice owners. Unique charm of this old corn mill with some of the mill machinery still in place. Set on a quiet lane just on the outskirts of Pickering. A well lit level footpath takes you on a short cut to the town centre... More

Vivers Mill is not exactly central in Pickering, but is less than half a mile's walk from a lovely town centre and its pubs and the North York Moors Railway. . But its location made it so peaceful and quiet. The unique building with its low ceilings and up and down stairwells is furnished in a traditional style, but with... More

We stayed here over the half term. I booked two rooms, one for my mum and another for my husband and I. I asked for a room on the 1st floor for my mum as she is in her 70's. She had a nice double room with its own bathroom. We had a double room on the 3rd Floor again... More

My daughter and I received a very warm and friendly welcome and a tour of Vivers Mill on our arrival. We stayed in a twin bedded room. The room was a good size, clean and tidy and with very comfortable beds. The tea/coffee making were topped up daily. The en suite was okay, with toiletries provided - again it was... More

I spent three nights at Vivers Mill last month with my mother and enjoyed it very much. The room was exceptionally clean and cozy. Our room had two twins beds and one full sized bed and was set up in such a way that we each had privacy in a shared room. And the beds were very comfortable, I slept... More

Vivers Mill as the name suggested is an old flour mill which has been sympathetically converted to a Guest House. Found the owners to be friendly and helpful. Accommodation was very good with low beamed ceilings and wall lighting giving it character, they are also well furnished with period furniture and include Coffee and Tea facilities, TV, Hair Dyer etc.,... Situated along Mill Lane in a quiet location away from the noise of the town, it is only about 10 to 15 minutes walk into the town. The building was fascinating, rooms clean with comfortable beds. Many hotels and B & B's now use only liquid soap in the bathrooms and I prefer to use a tablet of soap, so... More

So pleased I found Vivers Mill online and chose to book the accommodation. It was in a great location, very clean and comfortable. Proprietors very friendly and breakfast was superb. Good to be able to see the 'workings' of the mill behind glass from the dining areas. I would have no hesitation in staying here again, and recommending it to... More
