Paul and I arrived early and asked if we could leave our car here. It was no problem at all to leave our car at the guest house. Jayne's friendliness continued once we arrived to settle in. She took us to our bedroom which was of course gorgeous!!! All matching decor with fabulous bedding on a massive bed. Loads of... More

2nd visit and as wonderful as the first, Jayne and Steve greeted us and made us feel very welcome, a real home from home. Room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was top class, would recommend visiting cawthorne house. Nearly forgot a mention to jayne's parents who helped and a special mention to Betty the dog she's so lovely :)

My husband and I stayed here for three nights during last week. We had a really lovely room at the front of the house. A very comfortable bed. Beautiful, quality bedding. Lovely touches, such as bars of chocolate on the dressing table. We succumbed to temptation. Breakfasts were to die for with seasonal fruits to start followed by a delicious... More

Excellent place to stay. We were greeted with tea and coffee with freshly baked cake and shortbread which was delicious. The room was outstanding with plenty of room and everything there that you need. The bathroom with shower unit was ideal for us. Breakfast was wonderful. You help yourself to a choice of juice, cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts whilst... More

This was the one of the best places we have ever stayed, Greeted with tea and cake on arrival we had an excellent room, spotlessly clean and excellent facilities. The breakfast was superb and Jayne goes out of her way to make you welcome. It really is worth a visit and ideally placed for a visit to the North York Moors railway.

Dear Neil, Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a positive and kind review. It is much appreciated, especially as you were only here for one night! Glad you enjoyed the tea and cake too! Pickering really is a super place to base yourselves for exploring the North York Moors and as you rightly said, the NYMR....... More
