We stayed at Barker Stakes Farm for a couple of nights in their bed and breakfast accommodation, on the occasion of a family Christening. We consider that we have now found the best place to stay in in the Pickering area. The room was pleasant, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious, any little request was no problem and... More

My partner and I travelled to Barker Stakes Farm for a long weekend. When we arrived we were greeted and were made to feel very welcome. Our room was beautiful, with a four poster bed, television/dvd player, ensuite bathroom, sofa and a lovely view. We did have a fridge and tea making facilities, which was a nice touch. The room... I stayed in one of the log cabins while working in the area, and although I was only there for a week, I couldn't complement the owners and the accommodation more highly. They are clearly kind people, because when I was working long hours and unable to get my clothes washed they did it for me - without any charge.

We had 4 lodges booked - 1- 3 bed, 2 - 2 beds and 1 - 1 bed all were extremely well stocked (bigger ones even had dish washers). Good sized rooms and excellent showers. Lovely peaceful location with play area etc for children. Easy to get in and around local area only a short drive and taxis available. Sarah... More

Just returned after a 3 night break after a very stressful couple of months, this really did the trick!! Steve and Sarah were very welcoming and brilliant hosts during our stay. We were in lodge number 1, although it is a self catering lodge we opted to have breakfast included, which was absolutely excellent, a lot of choice and everything... More

stayed here for four days, Sarah & Steve were excellent hosts, would not hesitate to stay again. The log cabins are in excellent condition with all the facility's that you would require, even with the weather being shocking for 1 night the cabin was not cold, even for a November night.

We stayed here overnight before a visit to flamingo land. It is very close to flamingo land so it was an ideal location. The farm is right down the bottom of a country road and my only negative comment would be if I hadn't been using Google maps to direct us I don't think we would have found it easily... More

The owners Steve and Sarah were very welcoming and very helpful. The full English breakfast is excellent, you must have it! We stayed in one of the timber lodges as all the B&B rooms were fully booked. The timber lodge was equal too if not better than any 4 star hotel we have previously stayed in. We were there for... Excellent place for children to stay, lots of lovely animals and play things for children. Very well fitted out cabins. Barker Stakes farm is ideally located for visiting lots of good holiday places. We visited Whitby and Filey and also spent a few hours in Pickering. The owners were very helpful, hope to return.
