We booked a double room, but the larger suite was available and Stuart offered us a free upgrade as we were staying for three nights and he thought we would appreciate the extra space.. We enjoyed our stay so much that we added an extra night! Excellent choice for breakfast and Stuart and his team were friendly and helpful and... More

I booked to stay here for a couple of nights with my son quite spontaneously, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Grindale House is a wonderful old converted farm house with converted self-catering cottages and B&B accommodation smack in the centre of Pickering. It has history and charm as well as a dog called Guffy! The owners, Stewart and Lesley... More

Really excellent B and B. We received a great welcome from Stuart who couldn't have been more helpful. the building itself is full of character with nicely decorated rooms and an excellent breakfast as well. Highly recommended.

What a lovely hotel and place to stay, the warmest welcome we have ever received, we were overwhelmed. The setting is wonderful as the premise is an old converted farm house (275 years old) which makes for a very characteristic charm. The room, we had, number 5 which was a twin (with an extra alcove bed). It was immaculate, every... More

We stayed in this wonderful area and took in all the shops and found that Grindale House was in an ideal position as it was so close to everything. Great pub food nearby. Went to a local market for antiques and found a good café as well

We stayed for a long weekend and couldn`t have enjoyed it more. Stuart and Leslie, Guffy the dog and the rest of the staff were very friendly. They welcomed us on our arrival which was lovely and made us feel very much at home. The rooms were excellent as was the breakfast. We had a courtyard room which was perfect.... More

This was our second visit to Grindale House this year, and it was great to meet Stuart and Lesley (hope I've spelt your names correctly) and Guffy the dog as well, of course. We stayed in the suite at the top of the house - absolutely lovely. Everything was spotless, breakfasts superb and nothing was too much trouble. I think... More
