What a find myself and a few friends often visit NYMR and on this occasion booked in at Grindale House. Stewart made us very welcome from the minute we arrived. The rooms are fantastic with a lovely garden and 2 minutes from Pickering town centre. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We will be sure to return when we are... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights whilst we went to see Palmoa Faith and Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott at Dalby Forest and were mightly impressed with our stay. We were made to feel very welcome and felt at home all weekend. If you're thinking of visiting Pickering and need a B&B look no further than Gindale... More

My cousin arranged for our stay. There were 6 of us. My aunt & I stayed in the Robin's nest. Everything was perfect from the comfortable beds to the bath rooms. The breakfast was so good that I ate more than normal. The owner & his staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I hope I... More

My family stayed here for two nights. My cousin and her husband had the Kingfisher room, my mom and aunt shared Robin's nest, and my aunt and I were in room 5 inside the main house. Every room was lovely. Room 5 was a very spacious 3 bed room, with 1 of the beds in it's own separate area divided... More

Visited Grindale House a few weeks ago with my Mum. Don't think I've ever had such a warm welcome in a B & B. Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Fantastic breakfast. Short walk to town and the steam train ( about ten mins). Wish we could've stayed longer. Would definitely visit again.

My parents & I stayed at Grindale House last Friday for 3 nights, as we were visiting the nearby North Yorkshire Moors Railway & the National Railway Museum in York. Stuart met us when we arrived & was very friendly & most helpful, his wife Lesley was very kind too, both extremely lovely people. They both run such a great... More

This was our first stay at Grindale House but it certainly won't be the last, no negatives at all except that we were only there for two nights, we shall be going again later this year. It was ultimate comfort, pristine cleanliness, excellent food and loads of choice, something for all tastes. We had The Suite for our stay and... More

What a pleasant surprise. A lovely old building, converted over the years. The owners have achieved a very high standard of accommodation. I was initially met by Stuart, very friendly, and would do his absolute best to do whatever was needed to ensure guests had a pleasant experience. I stayed 3 nights and had a double room at the back... More
