Spacious cottage, lovely location - beautiful surroundings, gorgeous gardens, great spot to stay if you like to be in the country

We just spent an Easter break in Sleightholmedale, and it was brilliant. Wonderful countryside and gardens -- the best I have ever seen in Britain -- lovely cottages, interesting wildlife, in a magnificent winding valley. Great walks. Everything you could want from a holiday in the English countryside. Very highly recommended.

We discovered Sleightholmedale 6 years ago. It is located in an almost secret valley, on the southern edge of the North York Moors. There are a number of cottages converted from farm buildings and although they are not luxurious (no dishwashers, small bathrooms), they are comfortable and well maintained.
