Just arrived home after a weeks stay at the black bull caravan park, while there we ate at the black bull inn 3 nights. The food we were served was good value and just the right size portion for use and the 3 kids. Already booked for our next visit in August. Staff were excellent, helpful and friendly, was sorry... Went here twice whilst on holiday, although very busy the staff accommodated a take for 10. The filled Yorkshire pudding was massive and delicious and was worth the wait for the meal. Would definitely visit again should we return back to pickering

Visited on Sunday after the Game & Country Fair, Main meal was good value for money, I thought the service was appalling. Cutlery was slammed on the table as the waitress walked past. One of the waitresses tipped food on one of us, never apologised, offered to replace or clean up just laughed & walked away. When serving us or... More

We stayed on the Black Bull Caravan site and asked at the Inn if we could have our meals to take out which they were more than happy to do. Unfortunately, the meals we ordered where nothing like the meals being served in the restaurant. The food was practically inedible. The chips had clearly been cooked earlier and reheated, which... Met up with family here on several occasions since it has been refurbished and have enjoyed the varied menu .The staff and management are always friendly and the food has always gone down well.We like it and its great value a traditional pub offering good home cooking.

This pub has been recently refurbished and was pretty quiet in the early afternoon we visited. Speciality is the 'loaf tin' Yorkshire pudding with a range of fillings. Quality of food was good and prices reasonable. It also had a decent choice of beers on tap. All in all a decent place to stop for lunch if you are passing.

We visited this inn yesterday as we had driven past on a previous day. We thought that looked a nice place. We went in and the staff seemed totally disinterested. The land lord walked past and said nothing. Playing on his mobile phone. We ordered a tea and the milk pot was filthy and seemed unwashed. We ordered food and... More
