We Ate here for the first time after hearing good reviews. The food was excellent. Highly recommend the hunters chicken and pork chops. The live singer was a little loud and off putting but we will be back to eat here again.

8 of us went for the Christmas menu, 1 course £7.95. 2 courses £9.95 and 3 courses £11.95 . The meals were average but lacked a little in flavour. The waitress staff were very friendly. The place was clean and welcoming. Will try the place again but will go from the normal menu next time.

I hadn't booked and stopped on the off-chance that a room was available. I was warmly greeted and was given a large and comfortable room in the annex beside the rear garden. After settling in, I went back into the bar/restaurant and once again was made very welcome by the waiting staff and locals. Unfortunately, this is were the first... More

Didn't have a meal but drinks were welcomed after shopping. The guinness was spot on and reasonably priced.Barmaid was friendly and chatty. Not the biggest of pubs but conveniently located in the centre of pickering, will try the food next time we visit.

Why are they promoting the Yorkshire puddings as "Probably the best in Yorkshire" they were terrible, big is not always best. You could tell they were frozen, they were burnt and very brittle. The meat in them was dry and over cooked. We called in on our way home, the staff didn't welcome us and we had to ask how... More
