Dave and Tracy were brilliant hosts and made booking for a group really easy to administrate, they were very friendly and... More

Stayed for New Year with friends. We booked 4 cottages all of which are lovely & comfortable. The kids used the pool. Excellent location for coast & North York moors. Owners very helpful, everyone thoroughly enjoyed staying here. good walks in the area. No negatives for these cottages.

A fantastic holiday had by our family. The new owners were very warm and welcoming. Cottage was well equipped. Outdoor play areas were great for our four children. Swimming pool was the best according to our children. Would definitely recommend Low Costa Mill. We will certainly be holidaying with you all next year!

This was our third visit to Low Costa Mill and just as enjoyable as previous visits in 2004 and 2007. This time stayed in Farrier's cottage a single-storey cottage next to the duck pond which was the perfect size for the three of us. There was lots of room, good storage space and a well-equipped kitchen. (On previous occasions we... More

A complex of barn conversions around the original farmhouse, set in very well maintained grounds with lots of outdoor play equipment, horses, chickens and a quirky woodland walk which was a lovely touch. The pool was a real bonus. The (very) new owners are clearly on the ball and were very welcoming. The cottage we stayed in was spacious and... More

Found this hidden gem of a place on trip advisor. Beautiful setting with 10 acres of well maintained lawns with flowers to walk around, has a lovely little stream running through property where dogs loved to cool down after a long walk. Swimming pool great and not too cold - would say cottages are aimed more at younger children with... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Nestling in ten acres of woodland & pasture, Low Costa Mill Holiday Cottages are set in a stunning, rural location, with the mill stream gently flowing along the boundary of the estate.Grouped around & adjacent to the Low Costa Mill farmhouse, a collection of seven cottages have been skillfully & sympathetically adapted from former farm & mill buildings. The cottages retain many original features, such as exposed beams & brickwork, these cottages make an ideal base for families, small groups & couples, or for anyone who appreciates the peace & tranquillity of the countryside. Dave and Tracy, the resident owners, occupy the farmhouse and are always on-hand for help and advice. We will provide any high chairs or cots required and will do our utmost to ensure your stay is enjoyable. With the feeling of being removed from a bustling modern lifestyle, the cottages are actually only 1.5 miles from the historic market town of Pickering and on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors. The cottages benefit from being set in 10 acres of gardens and woodlands. A large lawn provides an area for relaxing, playing games including giant snakes and ladders, hopscotch or draughts. A climbing frame, swings and garden toys should keep the children entertained allowing the adults to relax. No kids, or just need a break from your own? Then head past the stables and over Costa Beck to sit in the peace and quiet overlooking the tumbling beck. The on-site swimming pool is for the benefit of the cottage occupants only and provides many hours enjoyment for the kids. In fact combined with the climbing frame, garden games and woodland walk many of our guests spend the whole day without even thinking of leaving the site. ... more   less
