(At least). We've stayed here several times, and probably will do so again. It's stepping back in time in many ways, to a gentler pace, and it's definitely not for you unless you appreciate cups and saucers for your tea, proper restaurant standard service at breakfast, home made preserves, proper coffee, and little touches like that. Well located in the... More

We stopped at this charming hotel for 2 nights and were welcomed with tea and home made shortbread which was a real treat and was followed by great rooms and superb breakfasts. Stupidly(!), I forgot to mention my mobility problem at time of booking and my room was on the second floor but I simply took a bit more time... More

We have just returned from a weekend with friends and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is quirky, clean and comfortable. Lots of little personal touches in the rooms and the owners are very charming and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Would definitely return

We choose this at short notice and were delighted to find a real welcome. Tea and Homemade on arrival were great. The public areas have numerous pictures and ornaments. Breakfats was fab - more typical of that of a much larger hotel. The bedroom was spacious and very well provided for, with lots of little extras! Thanks.

Stayed here in 2012. Accomodation was very good, food was excellent, an enjoyable stay with the Perfect Hosts. Especially as Pickering is a wonderful village, combining both Modern and Period features and some excellent eateries. We will certainly return.

We have stayed here several times now and it would be our first choice whenever we are going to the Pickering area. Paul and Pauline are very attentive hosts and we are always greeted with coffee and home-made cake upon arrival, yummy!!! The breakfasts are lovely and the evening dinners are always delicious, Pauline is a fantastic cook and Paul... More

I too would like to echo the sentiments of the last reviewer. Whenever I'm in the Pickering area for a long weekend I always stay at Crossways. Pauline and Paul are great hosts. If you're expecting it to be like your typical Travelodge or B&B then it isn't. It's like you're friends of the family, and they're more than happy... More

I would like to put on record how disgusted I feel about the two reviews " Faulty towers" and "Never again " having stayed at Crossways the same weekend as ( never again ) My partner and l were totally appalled how the owners were treated by the said guests they were so rude, demanding particularly the children - always... The hotel is clean and the beds were relatively comfortable, unfortunately that is all we can recommend about the place, the initial appearance of the hotel was good apart from being sited on a roundabout on a busy road and you do hear lorries going pass in the early hours of the morning especially if you stay in the family...
