Just came back from a lovely relaxing long weekend at keldy. We stayed in the golden oak treehouse myself, hubby, mum, dad & two kids (17&12). The rooms were lovely, I've never had such thick towels even on a posh spa break, cosy robes and slippers included in ensuite room and treehouse. On arrival check in was fast and very... More

First thing was bad advertising on the web booking it says DVD player and TV in unit, even in the welcome book in the unit, how to work the DVD player TV, after asking the so duty manger who didn't even have a name badge, why they don't have DVD players as advertised, was told it's not his problem it's... Usually up till last year we have always travelled abroad but with costs rising we decided to give the uk a bash and stayed with forest holidays. Last year we stayed at cropton and were thoroughly impressed however this year due to an upgrade in the site we were moved to Keldy just a mere 5 miles away. What we... More

We've been going to Keldy for 6 years now and it's always a favourite with our daughters (9 & 11). The staff are incredibly helpful and the cabins are even better with recent upgrades. They were making lots of improvements to paths, tracks and roadways while we were there a couple of weeks ago, that have really helped. The only... More

This was our first year with Forest Holidays and we thought that it was fantastic! I had hoped that the cabin was peaceful, not too overlooked and that it would be clean and welcoming. I needn't have worried - it was all those things. There have been some mixed reviews on trip advisor, but we were not disappointed. We checked... More

I visited with my husband and 2 year old son on a Friday to Monday break. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the peaceful forrest surrounding. We did day trips to Whitby and Scarborough; the forrest was the perfect base. After our day trips we would finish with a forrest walk to 'find the Gruffalo'. The cabin was... More

We booked to stay at Keldy on a friend's recommendation of dog friendliness. Absolutely spot on; not only did we have a wonderful break so did the dog. He was welcome everywhere. We loved this place so much, we booked to go back again before we left; we were even able to choose the cabin we wanted to stay in.... More

Fantastic holiday destination. Check in was quick and efficient. Cabin was clean and well equipped. AJ (ranger) was a fantastic forest guide and the staff at the retreat (Nicky, Leanne, Anton, Chris) were always friendly and incredibly helpful. Huge thumbs up from the MacGills.

Came back from a lovely weeks holiday, a couple of days ago. A family of 5 (twins aged 8 and a 4 year old), we stayed in cabin 51, a Golden Oak. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The cabin is situated facing a natural meadow teaming with life (both good and bad as it is tick season!). The cabin... More

Thank you to the staff at Keldy for helping to make our trip so fabulous. The location and cabins are beautifully presented I could not recommend this forest holiday highly enough. Some of the activities come at an added cost but we chose to hire bikes as it's a great way to see the forest and if you're feeling brave... More
