My wife & I spent a night at Merlewood Hotel at the end of May. I have no complaints at all. The price we paid was very reasonable, the room was of a good standard & the location is almost perfect. Saundersfoot is a short walk (5-10 mins). As Merlewood is on the top of a hill, you walk down... More

A clean and well-run hotel. Nothing too much trouble for some hard-working and very pleasant staff. Not posh at all - quite basic but not tatty and a nice place to be. The view from the bar area and pool are stunning!

We have recently returned from a weeks holiday at this Hotel ( June 21st - 27th) with a Shearings Coach holiday. We had a spacious double room, recently refurnished and spotlessly clean The Dining room and the meals were fine. The cooked breakfast every day with cereals, yoghurts, fruit juice and toast was great. The evening meals had a very good choice... More

This hotel has obviously been refurbished and redecorated recently. My (single) room was a reasonable size. The furniture was a little bit tired and dated but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and had a large window so it was light and had plenty of fresh air. The meals were very good; the cooked breakfast included... More

I decided to stay an extra night in Saundersfoot and took a single at the Merlewood. The room was a decent size, with a view over rooftops to the bay, a comfortable bed, and a very clean bathroom! Friendly and helpful reception, and, most importantly, when my booked taxi for the train didn't arrive, the owner/manager (?) jumped in her... More

We called into the Merlewood on the offchance and were lucky to get a room. Large double room with very comfortable bed and excellent shower room. Everything spotlessly clean, modern and contemporary. The dining room was bright and clean, and the function room has a terrace overlooking the swimming pool and views of the bay. All in all, you could... More

We booked this hotel on an off chance and all in all found it very pleasant. Beautiful views from the dining room area. In my opinion it would benefit from a bit of re decoration to breath the life back the place and earn the price tag. With the exception of one, the staff were friendly and approachable. Within walking... More

Just stayed over for a couple of days while on business. The hotel overall was clear and tidy and very comfortable, and was pleasant to spend time on paperwork overlooking the sea with a coffee. What was more surprising was the level of service and how helpful the staff were. Couldn't do enough for me which considering the price was brilliant.... More

We have stayed in many hotels and guest houses in Tenby and Saundersfoot but this is by far the best. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly and it was one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in. The food was wonderful and the views magnificent, you would pay five times as much for the view from... More
