Bedroom and bathroom both great - spacious and quiet with lovely Italian style furniture. We had room 2 which was painted in relaxing light colours and was beautifully clean. Staff helpful and friendly without being obtrusive. Car parking not far from the hotel was not a problem - two minutes walk away. We ate there and it was good, well... More

The rooms are clean and tidy, bed comfortable but a little soft for me as the pillows , not a bad place and friendly staff, used this place twice now and its been o.k both times , breakfast is a decent size. Would use again if needed to return to university of south wales,

I come here a lot with my children or simply for a solo work lunch and have been here with friends. There's great service here and I like the atmosphere and decor. They used to provide a full Italian menu which I loved but changed it to 'pub' style food. This is O.K. though because they retained a lot of... More

Had to review asHotel as restaurant not recognised. Arrived for our Daughters birthday meal as a group of 8, we'd phoned to check the booking that afternoon. Server was obviously not expecting us, HINT no table with a reserve sign or even one set for 8 places. We were later told our booking had been put in the diary for... More

The staff was friendly and the room looked very nice. Our supper at the restaurant was delicious. However, the two bedside lamps didn't have light bulbs and the bathroom fan couldn't be turned off, which is not exactly great for a romantic atmosphere. Also, even though the bed was amazing, we couldn't sleep very well because of the horrible soundproofing.... More

Stayed here midweek for business so the noise which seems to interrupt some stays wasn't a problem. Rooms are good but a few frustrating things I passed back to staff. 1) no bulbs in any bed side light 2) my shower was either very hot or ridiculously hot! Bar is nice and restaurant food is good. Breakfast is tasty although... More

Stayed there Sunday 13th. Had a mixed experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The stairs were dingy and appear to have escaped the refit. The lingering smell of overcooked cabbage didn't help either. On first site the rooms were really nice-white bed linen, good sized beds. However it was all a little slap dash. Clean bed linen but the... More

I stayed here overnight last Sunday, so thankfully noise wasn't a issue as other reviews have mentioned. The staff were friendly from the off.. I was on the top floor in a 'white room' but the lift was broken.. So 3 flights to climb in a very smelly stair well.. The room & bathroom was great at 1st viewing, but... More

This is a very nice hotel in the centre of a run down town. I stay in a lot of hotels on business and without a doubt this hotel serves the best cooked breakfast to date in Wales!!!! The hotel has car parking close by.

I stayed here from the 2nd till the 6th of April. We arrived and the young girl on reception was very friendly and welcoming. Although the room i booked for £69 a night had been advertised as b&b on booking.com she informed me that breakfast was not included and it would be an extra £7 per person to include it.... More
