Llechwen Hall is very easy to find. Arriving involves a journey up a fairly steep, single track scenic road. First impressions were good. Check in was straight forward. On the way to our room via a creaky landing there was a strong smell of dirty socks. Not quite sure what it was but it was definitely there as after going... more

Great location for the business traveller who requires a quiet location away from the normal UK urban environment. Comfortable and well equipped rooms with freeview TV and free wifi internet access. Friendly staff who work hard to provide a good service. One minus point for me was that the dinner menu is limited for choice and a tad pricey! more

THIS IS FOR DINING RATHER THAN ACCOMMODATION OH WHY OH WHY – (1) Do many restaurants abandon all standards and revert to mediocre mass catering when it comes to Sunday lunches? (2) Do proprietors think that a bunch of unsupervised, untrained and unknowledgable 16-year-olds can provide an acceptable level of service? It was a family birthday for ten of us.... more

Great hotel, set in just the type of area that I love to stay ...off the beaten track, good hospitality and reasonable prices, Great room and comfortable bed and all very clean. Walking was a pleasure, probably would not suit everyone but for us it was perfect. more

What a find this was -we just needed somewhere to stay in the area and discovered it purely by chance. Beautiful quiet location with breathtaking views. We were only expecting a normal double room but were given a four poster bed and a huge ensuite bathroom with a circular bath - and that was in the annex (goodness knows what... more

We recently had to attend a family funeral in Pontypridd and a relative booked us into this hotel ( there were 4 of us). Didn't know what to expect as we left the main road to drive up a narrow road into the mountains but what a gem we discovered. Lovely old building set in beautiful countryside. The staff were... more

Stayed in the annex section of this lovely country house hotel. Room was huge with a comfortable four poster bed! Bathroom again very large but unfortunately the toilet was faulty. When I reported it they were very apologetic and offered to move me. TV reception was a bit ropey as it is tucked away in the hills. It poured with... more
