This is a great Guest House situated close to Stirling Castle and is quite near the Wallace Monument, within easy walking of the Old Town. When we arrived Mandi had already planned a map with places to eat and took the time to make sure we knew how to do the things we wanted to do. She offered to do... more

Stayed 3 nights at the Auchyle in September. We chose Sterling on the basis that it would be an ideal base for visiting Glasgow, Edinburgh and anywhere else in between. Mandi is a great hostess - breakfasts were plentiful and well cooked, and she was always on hand for help and advice. The house was well run and very peaceful... more

We planned to stay at Auchyle House for only one day but ended up staying three and then returned at the end of our trip for two more. Mandyi is a very warm person and makes you feel so welcome. This is a B-&-B that I would recommend to anyone. The food was also very delicious. more

When I first found this guest house, I was a bit skeptical as I had not seen the video. I just knew the price was in my range. I was traveling with 3 young children, ages 8 and 5 years and 1 years. So, I had my hands full. Stirling was our choice to stay as it was directly in... more

We really enjoyed our stay at Auchyle B&B. Mandi is a very warm hostess! She gave us great advice on local restaurants etc. We had a large double room upstairs (room 3), which was very elegant and luxurious. The bed was huge and comfortable. The room had an ensuite shower and toilet facilities, as well as the usual tea/coffee, hairdryer... more

I'd almost changed my mind about staying here after seeing a few bad reviews, so I had to write one myself to say that I was surprised by how much I did like it. I was quite comfortable there. My room was on the ground floor, so a bit noisy since it was right by the front entrance and breakfast... more

We were on a sight seeing trip to Scotland and on a shoe string budget, hence decided to stay somewhere central where in we could reach all major sites with in a couple of hours by car. Stirling was the best option and Auchyle was a supreme guest house for us. The rooms were excellent and so was the breakfast... more

We selected this Hotel basis its webiste...and the first mistake we made was not to see that it is not rated by the Soctland tourism board (all good B&Bs in Scotland have a star rating). Our family of 3 got a small room on the ground floor that was desparately lacking in hygiene in the room and the bathroom. The... more

(Anne and I had actually visited Scotland in late April, early May of 2002, but the review form didn't go back that far, so I filled it in as '03.) We always plan our trips 'adhoc', not wanting to be tied down to a certain schedule - we simply do our research about the places we'd like to see, rent... more

My family and I (a total of 10) stayed at Auchyle House in Stirling for a full week in early September 2007. Whatever was "under construction" in 2005, more than meets expectations now in 2007. Yes, the rooms were a little small, but as far as hospitality goes, we couldn't have asked for a better hostess. Mandi more than exceeded... more
