My husband and 9 year old daughter stayed at the Osta on Saturday night while visiting family and friends. When the reservation was made it was recommended we book for dinner at least one week prior to our stay, which we did. Restaurant is very popular and we can undestand why. The food was fantastic and any request by our... more

After a recent trip to the Highlands, I wrote a review for Bunchrew House in Inverness and The Orchard House in Rothbury and completely forgot about our overnight stay at Osta. I was interested in the other reviews of this hotel especially as they seem to be of the 'swings and roundabouts' kind. Some loved it and others definitely didn't.... more

On arrival, the reception entrance for the hotel was closed. Had to go through bar area for access to and from the room. Staff helpful though. The decor was boutique-style, but on closer inspection looked a little jaded, was dusty and very cold on arrival. Breakfast was good. Location was a bonus as it is in walking distance of the... more

We had a one night stay here and would not hesitate to return. The room was lovely although ours did smell of smoke so we left the window open. The hotel is very well situated with the shops etc only a 5 minute walk. The staff were friendly in the bar/restaurant. They have set price menu on from 12-7pm -... more

Phoned Hotel Connexions for a quiet night away before Xmas and they recommended this place. It was fabulous! For only £40 each we had a beautiful big room with a king sized bed, with a chocolate brown suede cover and matching floor to ceiling curtains. The room was big enough to contain a large square sofa and matching chair, with... more

Terrible service. Unfriendly staff. Breakfast took 1 hour and that was after complaining twice. Rowdy at night. Kettle in room was covered in dust. Bill was wrong on checkout and took half an hour to sort. Restaurant full even although we were paying guests. Would not recommend. more

I recently stayed in Osta on the night of a friends wedding. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice place in Stirling. Location was good, free car park, food was lovely and reasonable price. The rooms were really nice, decorated in dark colours, comfy seats, flat screen tv etc. There was only 1 small problem I had with... more

we stayed at this bar/restaurant with rooms recently and found it to be a decent place on the edge of the city centre ( its 2 minutes walk into the centre itself just off the Craigs roundabout ) reception is off the free, barrier entry car park and has good "food to go" and a cafe in its garden -... more
