We stayed two nights here after seeking somewhere cheap to stay in Stirling. It was certainly good value for money, even though we were staying in a private double room. After reading the other review on this hostel I felt I had to add my experience. This is a fantastic hostel, with a fun, comfortable atmosphere, clean, and all the amenities you could need on a backpacking trip. We booked fo 2 nights a family room (2 adults and 2 kids) for £.55 per night .I saw the pictures and descriptions on the website and it was OK looking at them.When we arrived from Edimbourgh airport we had some difficulties to find the hostel because there is no parking in the nearby and it'snt not so easy to... more

I was one of many Braveheart fans that was lured into staying in this place. Forget the romance of history & the movie...this is a hostel from hell. The female dorm had black & white mold on the windows,and the non-closing windows banged in the atrocious weather, blowing even more germs inside. arrived with some trepidation but was pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly atmosphere in this hostel. staff very friendly,inmates likewise, this was a well organised hostel conveniently located in the university town of stirling. toilet / shower facilities basic but clean, same with beds, but good value for money in respect of location etcetc would happily stay again! well... more
