Not a bad hotel. Not a great hotel. Great location and a beautiful building. Our room was small though and painted grey which made it feel a bit oppressive. The room really wasn't worth the money, £90 felt steep for a tiny room outside of a major city. That said the breakfast was very nice and the service good.

Remember that the price you are paying is not just for the room alone Full English breakfast was included in the price of £90.00 for two persons in a double room en-suite which in this area is a very good price. If you do book again ask if we can give you one of our bigger rooms if you found... More

Pictures on website look good but this hotel is really awful. Rooms are very old with woollen blankets on beds and grubby bedspreads. Dust everywhere carpets filthy they're so old furniture so old couldn't put my clothes in wardrobe or drawers as they smelt fusty. Rooms smell period of lack of fresh air and rustiness . On suites very clean... More

I am concerned to read that you did not enjoy your stay in with us July. The hotel is a Georgian house that we have styled and furnished in keeping with the character of the building. All our rooms are dusted and hovered daily to our own high standards. Windows are open to let fresh air in and wardrobes and... More

I really enjoyed the stay at the park lodge the room is spotless quiet and beautiful. The breakfast was good and service impeccable, but in the morning no hot water in shower. In the light of other review it seems that the problem is not new. They gave me £10 of and said they would call the plumber have they?

Stayed here as it is close to the business park where I was working for two days. I checked in late afternoon after work, and the owner was talking to a builder at the front entrance when I got there, they both stared at me as if to say what are you doing here and I actually had to tell... More

We had our wedding reception here in February and cannot say anything negative about the Park Lodge at all. The planning and preparation for the day was seamless, with Mr. and Mrs. Marquetty and their son John in regular contact, providing help and guidance with the menu and drinks and allowing us access and freedom to prepare the reception/dining area... A hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere really ought to provide a better meal than the one I had there last week. It was a private function and so the menu was limited. On the plus side, those who chose the quiche and the chicken were well served. Cannot say the same for the soup and salmon diners. The starter... More

We stayed at Park Lodge Hotel this summer for one night. While the hotel does seem a bit dated on the inside, it does give one the sense of a trip back in time. Nothing really got in the way of our stay. Off-street parking was nice given the hotel's location in a residential neighborhood. Super friendly staff who made... More

I stayed for two nights and wrote the owners a list of problems after the first night hoping that these would be fixed. No heating at all in my room (the owner stated that I was mistaken then admitted that there was a problem) only a blanket and no duvet, poor lumpy pillows, one bath towel was smelly, the TV... More

I haven't been there for 3 years but the all round quality and friendliness was still present in abundance. The rooms are clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. The food is still very nice although we didn't use the restaurant on this occasion. Highly recommended!
