Castlecroft is very convenient to Stirling Castle which was important to us. The room was small but clean and our hostess was a delightful lady. The common area is very nice with great views of Stirling surrounds. Breakfast was delicious with a nice selection of herbal teas an added bonus. Our room opened to the enclosed backyard patio and was... more

Great location and accomodations - 2 night stay and by the end of the first evening we felt like family. Francis and Kishmuhl could not have been better hosts. Great sitting room with wonderful views. Walk up the hill to Stirling Castle. Would definitely recommend to other visitors. more

I stayed here with my mom for 3 nights in the middle of May, 2008. It is a great 3* hotel. You can look out the windows of the hotel, and can see Stirling Castle - that is just amazing. If you walk to the city centre, you're walking along a lush path on a hill, and can look down... more

It's been a year since our trip to Scotland, and we still think of Stirling and of Castlecroft as our favorite spot. It was such a comfortable, friendly place to stay, and the hosts were wonderful. I'd recommend it especially if you have kids. more

After having a busy week travelling through Paris and the top end of Scotland, how nice it was to come "home"! Castlecroft gave us that instant carefree feeling that you get when you walk through the door of your own home. Our room was large, comfortable, the bathroom was great with a wonderful shower and the view out to the... more

They have a cat and a dog. Frances was so kind to us and filled... more

This B&B was great. Frances & Roger were the perfect hosts and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The ensuite room was everything that we had hoped for and their breakfast was perfect! The water pressure in the shower was very good so no complaints there at all. Though we did not drive, they had plenty of parking room for... more

The owners are friendly and make you feel at home. The breakfast was very good. It's just a short walk up a hill to the castle and then down to the town center. We found it really convenient and would definitely stay at the Castlecroft again. more

Positives: The hostess was cheerful, enthusiastic, and friendly. The location is great. It's a short walk over a hill (by road or path) to the gates of Stirling Castle, and the town of Stirling. We walked it at night on our way to dinner and found it eerily beautiful to walk past an ancient graveyard by the floodlights of the... more
