Stayed three nights in a private room a little while ago, so this review wont cover the communal accommodation. The building itself isn't particularly easy or hard to find, but being right at the top of the hill that Stirling is based on it's a great place to start the day, but a bit of a climb at the end... An old church which is still surrounded by grave stones has been expertly converted to a hostel. The hostel is a short walk from both the castle and the town. Our party of 4 had a private room which was larger than most and with its own ensuite. The hostel has its own car park in front of the hostel.

Great location just round corner from Stirling castle. Good view across valley from the room. Spacious room with small dining table. Small free carpark so get there early if you want to take advantage of it. Settle in best of several good pubs close by.

Situated in a former church, the hostel is really close to the castle and Stirling city centre, with beautiful grounds and surrounding houses. The rooms are quite big, we got an en-suite and it was comfortable - there was a table and lockable storage too. The kitchen is big and well-equipped, the dining room big and clean and free to... The hostel is in a perfect location to explore the Castle and medieval history of Stirling. We went for a Quad room which had 2 singles and a bunk bed. There was a shower, toilet and basin within the room. Staff were friendly and very happy to give tips on where to eat etc. Parking is only 8 slots, so... More

So close to castle you can almost reach out your window and touch it! Stayed here w/ a group. John cooked wonderful tasty food for us! Desk staff was helpful - they let me borrow a hairdryer. When staying here it is important to remember it is a HOSTEL so it is hostel beds (just OK) and hostel rooms at... More

The facilities here are good with ample room to relax. It is well located for the city and in easy reach of cafes and pubs. The only doenside depends on who is on duty when you arrive. Some of the staff seemed to find the guests a bit of a nuisance, but others were fine. I would be happy to... More

We drove into Stirling and this hostel is very easy to find. It's in an excellent location, about a 7 min walk to the Stirling castle and the surrounding sites, and between 5-10 min walk to the downtown area with all the bars and restaurants. There is parking on premises but not very many spots, but we were lucky to... More
