My first choice hotel was full and booked this hotel with some reservations given the reviews. I wasnt expecting much and the reviews were about right. it is not badly placed for the Stirling sights in fairness, but not the best hotel really. We arrived late so didnt experience dinner. The bar was a bit of a wild west saloon... more

Hotel quite far from Management Centre. Hotel said taxi would be about the same as two bus rides but in fact it was £10 probably triple suggested bus fare. Nothing much near hotel. Buses were slow and half hourly into town.Hotel room small but ok. Shower took a while to heat up and awful wall mounted hairdryer from another era... more

We stayed at King Robert 16th & 17th Oct Motown tribute weekend which was a weekend deal at a very reasonable price. We had a fantastic time. The room was lovely & had rain shower in the bathroom ( room 246). Friday night we had entertainment in lounge & Saturday night was tribute night. Buffet breakfast has plenty of variety... more

a group of us went for a meal. what a disaster!!!! after a bowl of soup which consisted of pre-formed chicken, hard carrots and brocolli i could not believe i actually attempted to eat this. the main course was presentable enough but lacking in taste and the sweets left a lot to be desired. anyway 3 hours later and waiting for... more

Stayed overnight after a family function. Staff all very pleasant & friendly. Room was rather small, altho' the bed was very big! Bathroom was also very limited for space . Clean and comfy but could benefit from a wee update and soundproofing. Breakfast was buffet style, plenty of choice and 11am checkout was appreciated. We visited Bannockburn Heritage centre which is... more

I attended the king robert hotel for a wedding. While i was there i thought the rooms and function suite were adequate. the bar area was very tired looking and extremely hot. The main fault for me about the hotel was the lack of trained staff at this special occasion and it seemed that the bride was left to sort... more

Stayed 3 nights. Room was recently refurbished and reasonable. The service from staff was very poor and churlish. maybe because I am english? However, its good value for money if you want somewhere clean to lay your head. more

Stayed here for two nights. The location is next to a heritage centre with a nice walk area. 5 Minute drive into Stirling. The hotel was having a refurb during our stay - it definately needs it. The hotel is very run down, however, my overall assessment is that the hotel met our needs. We were staying there for an... more

My wife and i have just returned from a relaxing midweek break in Historic Stirling. The Hotel is situated near to if not on the Bannockburn Battle Site with the hertiage centre next door. The Hotel offers good value to anyone wanting to get away from it all. As generally it's mainly passing tourist stopping off for an overnight stay.... more
