I attended the king robert hotel for a wedding. While i was there i thought the rooms and function suite were adequate. the bar area was very tired looking and extremely hot. The main fault for me about the hotel was the lack of trained staff at this special occasion and it seemed that the bride was left to sort... more

Stayed 3 nights. Room was recently refurbished and reasonable. The service from staff was very poor and churlish. maybe because I am english? However, its good value for money if you want somewhere clean to lay your head. more

Stayed here for two nights. The location is next to a heritage centre with a nice walk area. 5 Minute drive into Stirling. The hotel was having a refurb during our stay - it definately needs it. The hotel is very run down, however, my overall assessment is that the hotel met our needs. We were staying there for an... more

My wife and i have just returned from a relaxing midweek break in Historic Stirling. The Hotel is situated near to if not on the Bannockburn Battle Site with the hertiage centre next door. The Hotel offers good value to anyone wanting to get away from it all. As generally it's mainly passing tourist stopping off for an overnight stay.... more

This is certainly an adequate hotel if you are in need of a room in the area. However, eat before you arrive! We booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding "afters" party. Our room was clean and comfortable and of an average size. Our bathroom was in need of some modernisation and also better lighting. The hotel is... more

I went to a wedding at The King Robert Hotel in Stirling. Unfortunately, this was not a good wedding at all, infact it was the worst wedding ever. The total disorganisation meant that no one was seated for the wedding to start, the bridesmaids arrived everyone was standing at the bar, the bridesmaids and flowergirls had no option, but to... more

It has been 5 years since we stayed at the King Robert. My daughter and I continue have a bit of a laugh about this hotel; it is still our "worst hotel experience ever" The reason why I'm writing this now--the first review on this site. My advise--AMERICANS BEWARE. We thought we must have been imaging our poor treatment, because... more

We were traveling with a small group (most of us in our 50s and 60s) and were booked by a travel agency. So perhaps my experience at this hotel is colored by the fact that we were a "group" as opposed to booking individually. We spent three nights here. The room itself was small (not a problem in itself) but... more

Good location in central Scotland .Quiet location, right on the battle field at Bannockburn. Within walking distance of Striling 2 miles down hill. Food in restaurant is excellent .Topside of beef was one of the best i have had..Nice fenced in garden to sit in and safe for children. more

If I'm honest, my main reason for choosing the King Robert was that my name is Robert Queen. Seemed sort-of appropriate! Also, the fact that it overlooks the Bannockburn Battlefield, and my grandfather is buried in Bannockburn played a part. Anyway, first impression of the hotel was not particularly good. From the outside it looks very plain and concretey. But... more
