I'll start by explaining the title. The reason I say so is that the rooms were £80, which I read a 'not so brilliant' review on. So me and my partner decided to pay an extra £10 and get the executive room which were apparently new and clean. We had our stay, which a nice, not brilliantly well lit, but... more

This hotel is absolutely fine if you need a base in Stirling, but it's nothing very special if that's what you're looking for. It's convenient for shops; the castle is a short walk uphill (with excellent Argylls' Regimental museum). We thought it good value, especially the evening meal (3 well-presented courses for £15) - may be why the Rotary Club... more

By far the poorest hotel I have ever stayed in, where do I start? the photo's on the internet highlighed a well lit decorated room with all the mod cons including plama screen, what we got was a slum. Threadbare carpets, wallpaper hanging off walls, a weird smell, a bed that had be groaning in pain throughout the night and... more

Where to start really! None of things on there own are a big problem but when asked to pay £140 a night for the pleasure it's truly horrendous! I'm in Stirling with work for a few months and had been into the lobby area the previous week as we knew we would be in the hotel the next week. The... more

My company booked me in here for a short business trip and I have to say, I was impressed. The room was clean and fresh (obviously newly refurbished), the staff were very accommodating and the breakfast was excellent. Some of the public areas still need a bit of attention but otherwise I would recommend this hotel to anyone. more

We attended a works Christmas party night and had such a good night we are planning next years at the same venue. Our accommodation was bright, modern ,clean and comfortable though it would be fair to say the hotel seems to be mid refurbishment and not all rooms may be modernised. The lift and some corridors were a bit of an eyesore but... more

It was as if we were in a different hotel. 2 critisisms car park is manic and tv reception is terrible. the... more

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Old room, sticky carpet, ancient bed. Public area looks OK but the room is rank. Don't stay there until all floors have been refurbished more

03/03/2007.Mr & Mrs Fulton, Ayrshire. Had already booked this hotel before reading reviews on this page. We were a bit worried about the hotel accomodation but our room on the 4th floor was newly decorated, very clean & tidy with a.nice bathroom. Trouser press, hairdryer and tea & coffee facilities in room and also a new plasma screen t.v. as well.... more
