We stayed for one night and enjoyed the hotel. It is set in fabulous grounds and the interior is definitely what one would expect from a country house! The room was comfortable and well equipped, if a little floral in decor. The food in the restaurant is very good. One minor criticism: service, while good, was a little slow. We... more

We recently spent the weekend at Cromlix House and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were upgraded to a suite which was a nice surprise - spacious and very cosy with all the usual extras you would expect in a hotel like this such as tea tray, bathrobesand decent toiletries. Also, masses of wellies and wet weather gear available. The hotel... more

I had some trepidation about my visit to Cromlix given some reviews posted to Trip Advisor however we had a lovely stay at the hotel. The hotel is full of character, the staff were lovely (attentive and charming) and the food was some of the best I've eaten in years. Yes, there are a few extra touches that would push... more

This is a very charming large manor situated in a private 2000 acre estate near (but not too close too) the A9 past Stirling, The house itself is quite imposing as you approach from the long private road, however once inside it is a delight, a very traditional grand hunting style lodge packed full of antiques, dark oak panelling, large... more

Spent several days at this pleasant country inn with friends and family. The setting is really quite beautiful, and the building (from the exterior anyway) quite charming. It's a great spot for a getaway, and not a bad base for Scottish castle-touring. However, make sure someone else is paying as it's certainly not a bargain for what you get. The... more

Just four miles or so from the motorway, but a world apart, Cromlix offers peace, seclusion and serious pampering in a luxury setting. Charming staff, a first-restaurant and amazing value on an out-of-season break. Breakfasts of the very highest standard, with that rarity - orange juice that really has been freshly squeezed. Looking at reviews over the past couple of... more

We were amazed at the impeccable 2000 acre grounds surrounding this castle-like inn as you drive in through the trees and lawns on a paved private road. It's only a few minutes drive north - outside of Stirling - in the rolling countryside. It was an amazing inn that looks inside and out like something out of a movie. We found... more

Very overpriced with a Manager that seemed more involved in a long winded telephone converation than dealing with the guests . Food was good but I found the service very poor. Our room was clean but very shabby in need of a revamp more

We were married at Cromlix and whilst back in the UK took the opportunity to visit. We were so disappointed with our stay, mainly because the staff weren't as friendly and helpful as they were previously. So much of what made this place great in terms of atmosphere and ambiance just isn't there. Our room wasn't as clean as on... more
