Don't let the previous reviews scare you, this place is truly magical. We cannot say enough about the service, location, rooms and food. My wife and I have traveled the world and we both agree this was one of the most romantic/relaxing places we have ever been. The food was expensive but worth every cent and would love to go back... more

Stayed for one night - chose hotel more or less at random from laterooms.com as it was my daughter's graduation in Stirling. We found reception quick and efficient (I've occasionally had problems when booking through laterooms, but not this time). The "room" took us a few moments to work out, as we were initially dismayed not to have an en-suite,... more

For her 100th birthday celebration my grandmother had received letters, cards, and visits from local MPs, dignitaries and media. For the smaller family celebration on her actual birthday, we all looked forward to going to Cromlix House. We'd booked in advance and told them it was a 100th birthday celebration. As we walked in -- with helium balloons emblazoned with... more

Having read the reviews for this hotel, we were really looking forward to our stay. When we arrived at 3pm, the room wasn't quite ready. When we were taken up the 2 floors carrying our own bags, we were put in a really small attic room with no view. The room was clean but shabby, (no antiques, just old furniture).... more

We just stayed one night at Cromlix House and we absolutely enjoyed it! The place and hotel itself is fab, staff is friendly and helpfull - all of our expectations were fullfilled. We had the 4 course dinner and the food was absolutely delicious. Cannot think of a better place to stay (and we have already come around a bit) more

We have just returned from another break away at Cromlix House, We were given a beautiful suite at no extra cost (we didn't realise that's what we would be allocated when we booked) It was beautiful! An enormous lounge and bedroom, and a gorgeous bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries and lovely white fluffy towels and bathrobes! The food is excellant... more

We stayed at the Cromlix for (sadly) only one night, but we intend to go back for a longer stay as soon as we can. It is a lovely house and the food was stunningly good. Fabulous breakfast and dinner, beautifully prepared with the best ingredients and served in the delightful log-fired dining room. The staff are so very nice... more

We booked a room here through Hotel Connexions on a special offer for bed and breakfast and were delighted when we turned up on the Saturday to discover we had been upgraded (without asking and with no extra charge) to a suite. The bedroom and lounge were enormous. The furniture is old but not shabby and the only comment I... more

Having just married in Mauritius, my new wife and I decided to treat our immediate family to a posh dinner at Cromlix House. Although fairly close to our own home, we opted to stay in the hotel too, so we could make the most of the ambience and the hospitality on offer. We choose to book the library for our... more

Having read the previous reviews, I am astonished at what others have written. Following our engagement in January, my husband and I went to visit several venues to find the perfect one and I can honestly say I fell in love with Cromlix as soon as I walked through the door. It felt like walking into someone's house with the... more
