My nephew and I stayed a week and it was just so good. John was an excellent host and breakfast chef. The place was warm, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Top marks all round! More

The pictures on the website totally undersold this B&B. My room was a lovely en-suite, the setting ideal and Jon the proprietor was an excellent, friendly host. Hillview is clean and homely and I would be happy to recommend it to anyone, friend or family. This B&B is located in an area well situated for visiting some of the most... More

Hill view Cottage B&B is indeed a lovely experience set in rural Stirling only 45 mins from Edinburgh city centre this little cottage and its host Jon were perfect for my son and I. Our visit lasted two nights and to be honest we could have stayed longer had we not had to move on to Inverness. Our room was... More

Spent a while looking for a 'Dog friendly' B&B. We were very glad to find Jon at Hill View. For four days we were treated as friends in his house, rather than a source of income. The room was all we needed and the lounge / dining area was realy comfy with good conversation in the evening. Great Scottish breakfast... More

Staff very friendly and helpful, they make you feel very comfortable. Lovely friendly feel to the place. Excellent food would recommend, mussels, macaroni and garlic mushrooms all a big must. Fabulous service, great value for money, would definitely go back. More

Stayed for 2 nights over a weekend because Edinburgh was too expensive - we loved it. Jon (the owner) and his family are super friendly, and recommended the BEST pub in the next village for our meal - we went back for a second night in a row! The view from our room was gorgeous - lush Scottish paddocks and... More

Please double check this accomodation, The owner denies anything that is discussed on phone. We had two in depth conversations (he was on mobile in the garden for first) we discussed his position, how far out on the Glasgow road from Fort William was the cottage. Even when i phoned again and booked another room for our relatives there was... More

I absolutely loved this b&b because the house has a very relaxed atmosphere. I felt this was mainly due to the traditional decor and quirky ornaments and memorabilia the owner has collected from his travels. Its not one of those modern b&b's that dont always feel that welcoming. I felt at ease in the lounge area sitting with my feet... More

Not much to say about this place as we did not end up staying here simply due to the fact that our greeting upon arrival was less than friendly. We arrived at 3:00 p.m. and were met by the host who was clearly unreceptive to us being an hour early and stated "trust me, you don't want to come in... More

My friend and I were staying for one night, but were comfortable that we stayed another. Jon let us know there would be a ceilidh at the community center, and guests that came down from Fort William for the dance invited us to go along with them. I live in a small town and it felt great to be included in... More
