This is an excellent hotel. The food is good (If a little "Cheffy") and needs a few more carbohydrates.(i.e. vegetables). just back from a 3 day break.......new of the hotel ...stayed there 14 years ago.....pleased to say it still has the charm and feel of a decent highland getaway hotel.......breakfast was great..the full fayre.....even porridge to order!!....room was lush great nights sleep in a big bed......abused the leisure facilities...great jacuzzi!!!........staff friendly and helpful........hotel location fab...did the Trossachs and Loch Lomond... I booked a spa day with treatments for me, my mum and daughter through groupon. Turned up today for what was meant to be a relaxing day for all three of us and they had not booked us in!! The hotel is very basic. The windows are single glazed and the walls thin so I was interrupted by lots of noise in the corridors and outside. The room was adequate and basic however not the cleanest room that I have stayed in. The hotel had recently had a roof collapse and there was a smell in the hotel. More

This was a very enjoyable experience. Went to the hotel on Wednesday 9th May for a Spa Day with a friend using a Groupon voucher. Daniel at Spa Reception was helpful and friendly. Really nice hotel with great food and a good spa/gym. Only a short walk down the hill into town or a few strides up to the castle. More
