My husband booked a Saturday one-night Dinner Bed & Breakfast as a romantic getaway for us. We booked online and received confirmation. My husband rang the hotel to confirm the dinner reservation. He was a liitle worried, as the last time he stayed here the hotel had made an error with his dinner reservation and couldn't give him a table.... more

Good deal at £69/night especially as breakfast included. Hotel is a fine building (was a school) in the historic part of Stirling and only a short walk to the Castle other interesting architecture. Our room was of a reasonable size; I suspect most have good views. There was some noise from an adjacent room as ours was paired. The hotel... more

The hotel is located in a quiet area of the old town close to the castle and a number of bars and restaurants. Parking at the hotel was free which was a bonus being so close to the centre. Our package included dinner free on the first night which was good but not outstanding. Breakfast was also included and offered... more

Easy to find at the end of a long journey - simply follow the signs to Stirling Catle. We wanted to visit Edinburgh and a member of staff suggested taking the train - excellent service from nearby station and air conditioned trains!! We stayed during a heat wave. The head waiter went to great lenghts to organise fans in the... more

We picked this up for £49 B&B for a getaway over the bank holiday weekend. It looks very commanding from the outside and inside first impressions are good with a spacious reception area. Our room was fairly large and nicely (if not freshly) decorated with a great view across to the hills. The bath/shower area looked a bit tired though... more

Our visit involved a group of around 50 some in their 80's. Arrival was Ok with staff assisting in the collection of bags. All in all the staff were good, trying their best. What let the place down was the awful dining experience. evening meals took 2 1/2 hours (yes that's right 2 and a half hours) with the group... more

It wasn't obvious on arrival where the Reception or car park was. I ran in to ask, however this involved going up many flights of stairs. We arrived quite late in the evening as had had a 6+ hour journey so were a bit concerned we would still be able to eat dinner, for which we had already paid. The... more

We booked this as part of a spring offer through Barcelo, so we were initially wowed by the good deal we received. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was impressed with the building itself and the central location - literally in the centre of the city and just down the road from the castle. We didn't have dinner in the... more

Stayed here for 4 nights in March and found the following: Check in was prompt, friendly and efficient. Room was adequate sized, but due to the small windows (which did open properly) it was a bit dark, but this is an old building and wasn't a purpose built hotel. Car parking wasn't a problem for us, although we did get... more
