Me and my girlfriend have eaten here twice now and both times have been amazing. Really good food at really good price. Just a shame it's never busy, I don't understand why it's so quiet. I would highly recommend. We had the sharing breads to start, homemade bread selection with olives balsamic and olive oil, really good. Main course, I... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Fantastic big room, well decorated with everything you could want BUT the rooms all seem to be above the bar/restaurant and there are speakers set in to the ceiling i.e. set just below the floor of the bedrooms. Music was audible in the room from around 8:00am to when the bar closed. We went downstairs... More

Its a big shame here because it can be very good then on your next visit very disappointing. The service and waiting times can vary and seems disjointed with some tables getting served way ahead of others who ordered much earlier. Food is still good when served on time but can be cols if delayed.

While the rooms at Cook's are quite nice - spacious and clean, the rates are very high and the place is noisy. In regard to noise, Cook's is located on a busy street where the traffic never stops - you will hear it all night long. Moreover, there is a bar below the rooms. One night a band with a... More

We only stayed here for a flying visit of one night and I was sorry not to get a chance to sample the bar or the restaurant as you walk through this on your way up to your hotel room and it looked lovely – modern and inviting. Location is great, a stones throw away from the charming town centre... More

After spending 7 Dayan Spain flying back into Edinburgh decided to have a stay over at Cook's in Stirling. We were pleasantly surprised with the whole place and certainly dining in the restaurant wasn't a mistake as it was excellent and very enjoyable and will certainly be repeating this again

This hotel has only 7 rooms but the rooms in which we stayed were very large. The rooms were very clean just like the very large bathroom. We had our dinner also in this establishment and it was excellent. Breakfast was not included but we could have a choice of breakfasts. Like continental, Scottish, full, or light. Just for a... Visited Cooks Restaurant as a precursor to our holidays and because I was given a voucher for Christmas. The restaurant was formerly the Bank, then the Adamo and I think marketed itself as a bit of a "sophisticated" place. The interior decor seems to me identical to before but the food is fairly standard fare. I had a Rib Eye... More

Stayed here the night before we went to the castle. Plenty of free parking and complimentary wifi. There is a lift from the parking level to the 2nd floor room. Checkin is in the restaurant. The room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. The staff was helpful and friendly. Dinner in the restaurant was good and priced well.... More

Great room, large comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The food was excellent both dinner and breakfast, friendly and accommodating staff. And there is an elevator from parking lot level to our 2nd floor room a big plus for travelers that stay in small B&B's. Located within walking distance of the shops in town, an all round great value for... More
