Fay McGuinness is the epitome of hospitality. Her enthusiasm regarding Stirling and all things Scottish made our 2.5 weeks in the country all the richer. Linden Guest house was our first stop and our 3 day visit with Fay was chock full of tips and directions within and beyond Stirling. The house is comfortable and homey. It was a pleasure... more

Linden Guest house is, to our point of view, overrated. The house itself is fine, well located as far as walking to town is concerned, parking is very easy and free and safe... but the street is quite noisy., there is an unpleasant smell in the hallway which gives a bad first impression, there is no lounge, only the dining... more

Easy to find, a very friendly welcome even though we were late. Our room was comfy, clean and bright. Never seen so many pillows on one bed! Shower was excellent and bathroom surgically clean. I have never seen such a large varied breakfast, I had the full cooked, my partner the continental, other foods available were grapefruit, cheeses, muffins, yogurt,... more

I have travelled most of N America, Europe, Asia and Australia, so I know what to expect in hotels, motels, and guesthouses. Let me tell you, this is definitely one of the best guesthouses I have ever stayed in. Fay is very welcoming and will tell you the best places to eat and shop in Sterling, even where to park.... more

My wife and me found this b&b after some tries in stirling and was really nice to be there. We had a four beds room although the bathroom wasn't very clean, some hairs in the floor. The brekfast was plenty of everything, really superb, lot of fruit. Fay was really kind. Although is far from city centre and from the... more

This B&B is rated as 4 star - beware, it is not. We had 2 rooms for 2 nights for 7 of us, We are well traveled. First of all, there is a very bad smell as soon as you enter. The carpeted hallway is not clean, bits of debris stuck in it. Our rooms are not particularly clean either.... more

I stayed at the Linden Guest House with a group of 6 other friends, and I believe this is the best B&B/guesthouse that I've ever been to. Me and my girlfriend, and another couple, had a quad room on the ground floor which was incredibly spacious, and there was a triple on the first floor (second to us in the... more

My husband and I made a last minunte call to the Linden and we were warmly received by Fay. Not only did she welcome us, but allowed our dog to come too! We are always very grateful for this! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was first class all the way. more
