My husband and I stayed at the Inn for two wonderful nights in late July. We had a family wedding in Burke VT. We were lucky to find this beautiful inn. The room we had was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and the restaurant was 5 star! I recommend any couple or family to stay here. The lake is... More

We would return to the Inn because the facilities and scenery are amazing. Oddly, however, during our stay in July 2014, there were long periods during the day and night when no staff were on site. They left a note taped to the front door instructing guests to use room keys to open the front door. The complimentary coffee bar... More

The Willoughvale overlooks a glacial fjord with spectacular cliffs soaring over a deep water crystal clear lake. We stayed in the Gov. Aiken suite with lake views from the windows and deck. The room was huge with a king size bed and jacuzzi and fireplace. It has a southwestern motif with a 35 inch TV with cable access and free... More

The room was OK, but nothing special. We stayed at the Inn, which is basically a small hotel. We didn't see what the cabins were like. The restaurant, however, was quite good, and since there wasn't anywhere else close by to eat, that's a good thing. The restaurant was only open Wed. - Sun. in June so be careful if... More

We spent two nights/three days in the main part of the inn. Lake Willoughby is really spectacular, and WilloughVale has a gorgeous view down the length of the lake through the mountains on either side. We liked the restaurant and bar in terms of food, service, decor, and view. One thing, which we've encountered in other somewhat upscale Vermont resorts:... More

We booked one night in the Conley, a lake view cottage, for a wedding. We hadn't expected too much given the reasonable price, but we're amazed by the accommodation. The view from the cathedral ceilinged living room was incredible, all lake and mountains. The kitchen was new with all necessities provided. The larger bedroom had a jacuzzi in-suite and a... More

We spent the night in a lakeside cottage, the view was stupendous, the cottage was well presented and equipped and the welcome was friendly, efficient and helpful. We only had one night but it would have been lovely to settle in for longer.

My husband and I stayed in the inn last week for two nights. Our room was on the main floor right behind the bar which closed at 9 PM. Noise was not a problem. We didn't hear other guest either. We had an outside entrance into our room with a ramp. Our room and bath were very clean. We saw... More

Thank you for kind thoughts about the Willoughvale. While your first floor room does not have a lake view, it is quite popular because of room rate and easy access. More

Great little getaway, continental breakfast delivered to your room. clean! very friendly and courteous! VAST trail access for snowmobile fun. Beautiful spot on Lake Willoughby. We were in the main building but they also have great cottages. We will definitely stay there again!

Thank you for expressing your thoughts. The little extra TLC of delivering breakfast to your door. is hopefully a plus for our guests. It occurs when we do not have the number of Inn rooms occupied to warrant setting up the Tap Room for continental breakfast. With the additional snow accumulation in early February the condition of the access trail... More

By far, one of the best places I've ever stayed. Nicole and Julian greeted us as soon as we entered and took care of us as if we knew them for ever. The Gazebo room was exactly as pictured. The inn is very clean and very well appointed. The town of Glover and Barton are right near by and there... More

Nicole, the assistant Innkeeper and Julian, our chef, told me of a very nice couple who recently stayed in Gazebo. Low and behold it's you! Thank you very much for your kind thoughts. I was away for some time off. It is very reassuring to know that the Inn is overseen by 2 such dependable individuals. keep an eye on... More
