I was recently working as a contractor in London, this was the hotel that we were assigned too & I can say it is very basic even for someone like myself only there for work purposes. The location was fine and in walking distance of a Wetherspoons Restraunt & a few local pubs. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were... More

Really friendly Staff. Great prices. Full breakfast. Free car parking and wifi. Good transport links to Heathrow and Central London. Great value Hotel for people on a budget. Historical value as it was the home of the writer George Orwell.

Please spend a little more and go elsewhere. I learned my lesson. Seemed like there was only one guy working as he was the only person we saw. From coming in at 10 pm to breakfast if you could call it that. I'm sure he really tried but he was no chief. I wouldn't of fed it my dog. And... More

Stayed overnight due to work committment but found it quite rundown and shabby. Our room was right next to a coach park which was active at 5.30am with coaches revving their engines and obviously woke us up. Laminate flooring throughout the building echoed everybodys steps and we could hear people moving around in their rooms several doors away. Overall a... More

We stayed here as a family of 2 parents and two teenagers. The room was small but fine in size however the beds were solid and we all woke up with bad backs. When we went to make them in the morning light after a late arrival we realised the blankets were covered in stains too! Never mind we'd have... More

The staff were friendly and polite. That is about all you can say about this motel because it falls very short of being a hotel. T he decor in the 'chalet' for want of a better word is appalling and dated, my bathroom was full of mould although the bed was comfortable. If the owners can afford this historical home... More

The hoteliers have changed the sink and the flooring, however, I think George Orwell slept on the mattress and used the existing plumbing. There were many single guys using the hotel and the parking was typical for London. The minimal accommodations had a TV , wardrobe, desk, OH light, and shower. The wifi was available in the DR only at breakfast... More

Well where to start....whilst there is on site parking this was full when I arrived so had to park on the street. Receptionist was fine. The room was like stepping back in time, décor and pictures from the 70's, On a really warm evening the window would not stay open on it's own and had to be propped open. The... More
