I picked this place because I was travelling with two kids and needed extra bed, and we were coming in to Heathrow in the evening, and needed a quick place to stay before continuing on our trip next day. Berkeley Apartments was dirty and a bit run-down. They are not accessible by the Hoppa. You can take the Hoppa to the Holiday Inn Ariel drop-off and then walk around the back of the hotel. The area seems a bit seedy and unsafe, especially with children. We booked the apartment, hoping to have a little more space for the children.... more

Stayed one night. All apartments are suites. Check in was easy. Its located behind holiday inn ariel, took the hoppa H6, but was told at check in that there is a free local bus service to the airport. Let's start with the good points. Clean, and excellent bed/bedding. But really it's just not comfortable enough. Very cold room on arrival and the under floor heating takes a long time to kick in. I stayed at Berkeley Park about a year ago, and whilst the staff were superb and couldnt do enough for me, they were undergoing a major refurbishment, which caused a few problems. Stayed in a studio at Berkeley Park and all in all I was happy with my stay. Check-in was quick and efficient and the staff are all very friendly.
