Four of us stayed at the Otter in September for a wedding reception. The place was very dated, not refurbished and had a musty funny smell. Our room had a shower which never got above cold ( the other room we booked didnt even have a shower), the towel rack kept falling off the wall, door number fell off etc....... more

The Otter Hotel West Auckland, off road parking, friendly and efficient staff, a comfortable bed, good food, excellent breakfast, a good experience and value for money, What more could you ask for, I would recommend this hotel and certainly stay there again. more

This hotel's website is grossly misleading. It promises much but delivers little. It most certainly is not refurbished, I saw evidence of new? unpainted doors but my room was dreadful.
