On arrival, landlord was rude and accusational. We are ayoung couple and he confronted us wanting the cash in his hand there and then. I was playing for a charity fundraiser in the area and was going to pay him in the morning on check out after gettingchance to get to a hole in the wall later on (had been busy solid for th last 2 days organising and collating raffle prizes etc.) but he said we might run off without paying. So we were forced to give him the money out of the charity ticket money (obviously we replaced it). Room was ok, very spacious if a little dated, but the best is yet to come. At breakfast we were ignored in favour of a table of old ladies who he constantly spoke to. Our service consisted of grunts and one word answers, no polite or friendly conversation despite my attempts!
