We have now stayed at least 4 times at the Balmoral Lodge Hotel in Southport and it has always been a pleasant experience. Friendly, helpful staff always make it a joy to stay there. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

We were staying just one night to attend a function in Liverpool. We arrived quite late at about 9.30pm and were given a very warm welcome. Breakfast was a very well-stocked cold buffet plus a well-cooked "full English" with good-quality ingredients. Our room was large, clean, lovely and warm and well equipped. My husband has difficulties with low seats etc... More

Very pleasant hotel which is very comfortable & the owners are very friendly & helpful. The breakfast offers a wide range including cereals, continental breakfast, fruit & freshly cooked full English breakfast. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here & I certainly would stay here again

This was a last minuet booking, we wanted cheap and cheerful this is what we got! The hotel was a tired and was in need of some TLC but I can honestly say the friendliness of the staff made up for this. The cooked breakfast was very nice, yes the cereals were mixed in the dispenser but did it really... More

This is the second time I have stayed at the Balmoral Lodge, the previous stay was March 2015. Both times I have found the staff welcoming and friendly. The rooms were adequate for my needs, and the Wifi connection was constant. This is a traditional style B & B in a beautiful old building, perfectly placed as it is away... More

We booked last minute for an overnight. Arrived 1115 to ask if we could park car, told certainly and if you wish your room is available. Next day advised we could leave car there while we went in town before moving on. Very obliging people. My wife and I each had a single room just for one night (rooms 1 and 10). The 'springs' in both beds were 'shot' so the mattresses were at such an angle that you felt sure you would roll out at any time. A bit like sleeping on the side of a mountain (we felt). Were it not for the... More
