We arrived at this hotel and our first impressions made us think it was a bit dated. However, when we entered our rooms we rrealised they had recently be redecorated. Stayed at this hotel many times, the food is excellent, the staff friendly and the location is spot on. The down side is that it is very noisy into the early hours, it was gone 3.30 when the music finally stopped. The reason i keep coming back? i wear ear plugs. In all the seven years i have stayed here... more

It was with a little trepidation that I recently booked a night in the Scarisbrick after reading some of the reviews in TA but at £35 for a single room, it was too good a bargain to miss. And I'm so glad that I did. Like Southport itself, there an element of faded grandeur about the hotel but, for the... more

Really noisy hotel due to being on Lord St,stayed 1 night on saturday, top 4th floor room didn`t stop the noise coming in!! Constant taxis beeping, drunks etc until 4am. Hotel has terrible parking at weekends, carpark is tiny & you have to block others in to get a space. Room was £125,too expensive for what we got, shabby, duvet not ironed, cracked sink.... more
