We spent a rainy weekend at this recently renovated hotel. Although we had a 'special offer' rate we could not say that it was good value for money. We had a spacious twin room (no.5) but it gave directly onto a terrace where people could sit drinking while observing the sea. Obviously this detracted from our privacy. It was quite... more

We arríved aboard a Shearings coach and were very relieved-after reading some of the reviews on this page-to find a lovely hotel overlooking St.Brides Bay. Our room -though perhaps a little tired decoratively -was quite spacious and clean with comfortable beds, and as for the food, well that was excellent and served in a very smart dining room with beautiful views... more

We paid £120 for one night in a large room with a stunning sea view, had I been a bit more savvy I would have tried to bargain as the room was terrible. The mattress was thin and sunk in the middle making for a very uncomfortable night. The decor was dreary and shabby, the tv very small and the... more

We had thought that this hotel would be good, but we were quickly disillusioned. On arrival by car with a couple of friends, we asked where the disabled parking was, and was told there was none in Tenby, so we had to go to a car park about a quarter of a mile away and pay £15 for the four... more

We read the reviews before we left and were dreading our stay, As we arrived we were very surprised! very clean! Our rooms were on the third floor, kids had a twin room and it had everything they needed, it was spotless. Bedding was crisp white as were towels, the only complaint would be the room door, it was very old... more

We were appalled by the depressing condition of the Imperial. Everyhing about the place was way below an acceptable standard. Our top floor, seaview room, had such an unlevel floor, some of the dusty & poor excuse for furniture, was screwed to the wall, to keep it upright! Entering the bathroom, was like stepping into a wardrobe, with a sliding... more

Just back from Tenby with the family. I paid more for the seaview room and it was fanastic. The view was breathtaking over the sea. Rest of the hotel has had a refit and smelt a bit of paint. Only negative - the patio furniture could do with replacing - looked a be tired. Food good - kids loved the... more

Refurbish it repair the roof, clear out the staff who were useless, and tell shearings to sell it, l would never go to a hotel owned by shearings again. I did write and complain but even the hire up had't got the manners to reply. Also find someone who can produce an edible food.. my husband and l regularly stayed... more

We had a wonderfully relaxing time. The waitresses/waiters were extremely curteous. The manageress seemed to affect their friendliness as they were quieter when she appeared. The room had fab views and was spacious. The food was served promptly and fairly varied. The puddings need a brush up(leave out squirty cream on everything) and the dinners were highly salted(not good for old folk),other wise OK.... more
