Loved the food and gardens but service, rooms, dimly lit conservatory and attitude of owner leave a lot to be desired more

We stayed at the Broadmead for one night - fortunately, it was just one night. When we arrived there was nobody on reception. We rang the bell and a member of staff arrived still talking into a mobile 'phone. She finished the conversation and was totally disinterested in making us welcome. The Broadmead Hotel is a rambling mansion on the outskirts of Tenby. I stayed there with a group of ramblers in June 2008 and was quite pleasantly surprised. Stayed 2 nights with elderly relatives. We were very well looked after Food was excellent with a drink in the pleasant conservatory prior to dinner. Rooms were OK, our bathroom could have done with some updating, shower looked very old but it worked! Highlight for me was a return visit to Bosherton. Had searched high and low for hotels free over easter weekend, the broadmead seemt the most reasonably priced and location sounded good (not too close to the towncentre and possible noise). We simply couldn't fault the hotel, service was good and food exceptional if visiting Tenby would definitely stay in the broadmead again. more
