Just got back from the Broadmead and overall the experience was very good. My partner & I stayed 3 nights and got a free upgrade to a superior room - no 13 access off the garden so very private. We didn't have dinner in the hotel but breakfast was very good. Room was large and of a high standard with... more

Loved the food and gardens but service, rooms, dimly lit conservatory and attitude of owner leave a lot to be desired more

Just spent three nights at the Broadmead and we found it faultless. It is quiet, relaxed and restful. It is very clean and comfortable, The building is very attractive with an excellent dining room, bar area, conservatory and a delightfully peaceful garden. The bedroom was fine (and we got a last-minute standard room). The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful... more

We stayed at the Broadmead for one night - fortunately, it was just one night. When we arrived there was nobody on reception. We rang the bell and a member of staff arrived still talking into a mobile 'phone. She finished the conversation and was totally disinterested in making us welcome. This was the start of a miserable overnight stay.... more

Management response from

This gentleman mentioned to me at check-out, when asked had everything been ok with his stay, that the bed was terrible & the drain in the shower was blocked. I wrote this information down so that I could (a) ask our maintenance person to attend to the drain and (b) inspect the bed for myself to see if it needed...

This hotel is average cost and average service. The food is good value. The bar prices are worth staying away from. The rooms are very small and walls very thin, the bed we had was well past its sell by date. The place was clean and the staf polite and helpfull. The distance from the hotel to Tenby is not... more

This was our fourth visit to the Broadmead, and we will continue year after year. We stayed as a family of two adults and children aged 12 and 10 years. The food is excellent, which makes every visit worthwhile, despite the awful weather. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, warm and inviting. The staff are all friendly and helpful,... more

My wife and I have been returning to the Broadmead with the children for several years because it is family friendly, clean, safe and offers good value for money. The owners, Gary and Marlene Helmich, are extremely welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble. We choose to have half board, but there is flexibility for those who choose bed and breakfast... more

The Broadmead Hotel is a rambling mansion on the outskirts of Tenby. I stayed there with a group of ramblers in June 2008 and was quite pleasantly surprised. Our room (number 22) was spacious, with plenty of room for the twin beds, and well decorated in a tasteful but neutral style. The bathroom was less impressive. The shower over the... more

Stayed 2 nights with elderly relatives. We were very well looked after Food was excellent with a drink in the pleasant conservatory prior to dinner. Rooms were OK, our bathroom could have done with some updating, shower looked very old but it worked! Highlight for me was a return visit to Bosherton. Sadly too early for the lillies but still... more

Had searched high and low for hotels free over easter weekend, the broadmead seemt the most reasonably priced and location sounded good (not too close to the towncentre and possible noise). We simply couldn't fault the hotel, service was good and food exceptional if visiting Tenby would definitely stay in the broadmead again. more
