Would provide zero or negative rating if possible. The hotel was empty when we arrived at the designated check in time. No staff whatsoever. No security, rooms left open, dark and dingy. A surly individual eventually arrived an hour and a half late to deal with the check-ins. The room was cold, damp and smelly (even on a hot august... more

What a shock when we arrived !!!!! What was supposed to be a few days holiday was a disaster!!!!! Unpleasant man behind the desk , no help with luggage, the bedrooms and bathroom left a lot to desired cleanliness is not there strong point!!!! The food was basic but poorly presented and definitely low in quantity. No swimming pool, no... more

quietly placed just away from beaches and town but so easily reached. so many places to visit so convenient within a few miles. the hotel made an ideal base for us, welcoming and comfortable. the proprietor and staff could not do enough for us. we were tempted to eat such lovely food, morning and night, with local produce beautifully cooked... more

After reading some of the reviews I was a little concerned about our stay - I need not have had any such worries. We were a coach party of 43 and could not have been looked after better. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel was very clean as were our rooms. The food was excellent. We had... more

Pool was empty, sauna and solarium was out of use, food was ok when it finally arrived. Hotel was drab and looked and felt more like a home for the elderly. more

Management response from
Richard Collier, Owner

The swimming pool is an outdoor pool which operates from Spring Bank Holiday until mid September. During this guests visit, 11th to 15th May the pool was beingrepaired prior to filling. The sauna and solarium were in use but this guest did not request to use them. This guest was with a package holiday group of 46 people. All other guests...

We were 4 friends on a cycling holiday and this hotel was right on the cycle path so the location was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful, but this could not disguise the fact that the whole place was very tired. The hotel was overpriced, uncared for, paint peeling off walls, dark and dreary decor and furnishings with awful... more

We took our son and daugter-in-law for her first visit to Wales and I am ashamed that this dreadful hotel was her first introduction. We arrived on a very wet cold evening to be greeted by an off hand proprietor who just told us our room number and directions to them – no porterage and not even taking us to... more

After reading the preceding reviews we were anxious about staying at the Greenhills. We were then pleasanlty surpised to discover friendly and helpful staff, a clean and well looked after hotel, with food that was excellent - all this for a very reasonable price. We were a party of 51 walkers, and the hotel suited us perfectly. Would recommend any... more

I booked this break in September 2007, and my wife and I were really looking forward to a nice festive holiday. Unfortunately, it did not turn out to be festive at all, except for some decorations and a very very cheap xmas cracker put on our table on the Saturday night official 'xmas dinner'. The place was definately not of... more
