Very warm welcome but not over the top which you sometimes get . This hotel has to be in The Prime Position In Tenby . Fantastic View right across the bay and on a clear day you can see both the Devon and Gower coasts if you have of the front rooms and also well placed for the Bars and... More

Have stayed at the Esplanade every year, twice a year for the past ten years. We have stayed at other hotels when there hasn't been availability but we always come back here. The four poster rooms are large and have good views. The owners have always provided us with a travel cot for when our daughter was a baby and... More

This was our first visit to Tenby and we are so glad we chose this hotel as it was perfectly located and run by a wonderful team. We only booked it a couple of weeks before as we felt we needed a break from the hustle and bustle and as the hotel is opposite a beautiful sandy beach we felt... More

Our second visit to this hotel this year. We enjoy coming back each visit with my elderly disabled father as we always receive a friendly welcome and every effort is made to accommodate his needs, even to allowing him to recharge his mobility scooter in his room. Without this means of transport, my father would not enjoy his stay. Over... More

We are just back from a couple of nights at The Esplanade. A short walk from the station and we arrived to a friendly welcome. Shown to our room, we were pleased to have a partial sea view when we weren't expecting one. The room although small was adequate. Very clean, bathroom and shower fine with nice fluffy white towels.... More

Hotel has no car park no lift and no wifi which is made worse as there is no 3G signal either!! Room we stayed in had a carpeted bedside cabinet from around 1975 ,carpet although axeminster needs scrapping as it's depressing and outdated, furniture is scratched and scruffy, bathroom is small and awkward too. Dining room is very dark full... More

Julie A, Owner at The Esplanade, responded to this review

The reviewer, by her own admission, booked accommodation online for five nights, without checking it’s suitability for her sons severe learning difficulties and special needs. The main problem were the stairs as the room was on the second floor. From the very start he complained very loudly all the way up to the room, and particularly on the way back... More

The room was tidy and comfortable. We stayed in the family suite on the top-floor walk up. The views were great; the staff were very friendly, and the price included an ample breakfast. The location truly cannot be beaten--just steps from the harbour and incredible beaches. All in all, this is an excellent value.
