Our third visit to this family-run hotel overlooking Tenby's South Beach and just outside the town walls. A dog-friendly hotel with welcoming owners. Very clean rooms (lots of tea & coffee) and an excellent breakfast - what more could you ask for?

Searching the internet for a place to stay with a Springer spaniel in Tenby for one night we found the Esplanade. Moreover, what a find, location is perfect, right by the walled town with a sea view. The room was more than adequate for one night with a price that was very good indeed. The breakfast was first-rate better than... More

We only stayed for one night as it was our anniversary. We were upgraded to a very nice room with a four poster bed and lovely see views. The room was well decorated and comfortable. A beautiful bathroom and lovely fluffy towels. Very good breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended.

I can honestly say you wouldn't find better, the hotel was comfortable, the family room was huge, beautiful view and location. Amazing breakfast, really set us up for the day. Nothing too much, we were made to feel very welcome, wouldn't hesitate to recommend

We stayed here last year and found the couple who owned the hotel very friendly and helpful. We had a sea front bedroom, which is definately worth booking as the view was just beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and they catered for our 3 year old daughter very well! I just wish they had their own car park, but this... More

Just returned from a special birthday weekend at the hotel with a group of my oldest friends. It was a special 60th birthday for 2 of them. The hotel was warm and the lady on reception was welcoming. A lovely family room, spacious with a lovely sea view. Lovely comfy beds and pillows. Room 17. The hotel is a little... More

The Esplanade is a fine example of the sort of family-run hotel which is sadly being supplanted by identikit chain hotels in many areas. I had booked a single room online, but since the hotel was quiet (mid-week in November) I was greeted by the proprietor with the offer of a first-floor double at the same rate, which was generous... My husband and I stayed in a family room at The Esplanade for a couple of nights in late September with our 2-year-old daughter. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good value hotel in Tenby in an excellent location. The hotel is right on the seafront with direct access to the beach (at low tide anyway). It's... More
