Lovely hotel, clean and welcoming. We stayed for one night 18/04/15. Checking in was easy and quick, the room was lovely, very very clean with TV, coffee/tea making plus bottled water. The staff couldn't do enough. We lost a mobile phone and the receptionist phoned the places we had been and located it for us to collect !! There is... More

Stayed here a couple of days leading up to easter, rooms are a little old fashioned but that's okay. What wasn't great was the exceedingly noisy residents who the staff weren't overly concerned about. We were woken by noisy guests coming in after a night out at 1 am, again at 4 and then constantly from 6am onwards. The rooms... More

Recent three day break with a group of ramblers. Well placed for a walk along the coastal path to Wisemans Bridge and a short drive to Stackpole for a bracing walk around the lily ponds, Barrafundle beach and cliff tops. Back to the Clarence House Hotel - excellent choice of menu, vegetarian options, hearty helpings, very tasty, just what hungry... More

Just returned from a four day stay at the Clarence hotel. The room was lovely and cosy and spotlessly clean, with the added benefit of a balcony with sea views. The food was excellent, and was always served quickly and efficiently by betty and her waitresses.I found. All the staff courteous and very helpful, especially heather the receptionist, finally I must say a special thank you... More

Traveled with Edwards coaches what a lovely hotel with Hubert making our stay even more special. His knowledge of Pembrokeshire held no bounds and his personality was fantastic. The hotel itself a little jaded but staff could not do enough for you. Jamie the barman was brilliant and extremely good with the older ladies in our company. Would definitely stay... More

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I am a little sorry to see you call the hotel 'jaded' as we have spent over £100 000 on the hotel in the last 15 months trying to improve the hotel. We are doing everything we can every winter shutdown, taking time and money into consideration. More

Stayed here this weekend as part of a group of couples for a friend's 40th birthday. Rooms a little dated but clean and spacious. When having a drink in the hotel bar, 2 friends arranged to meet us there for the birthday celebrations. When they went to the bar the young bar man was quite rude and abrupt stating that... More

The hotel was fully booked this last weekend and believe me, you would NOT have been happy if the bar was full of non-residents and there were no seats for you to sit on. It is our management policy to occasionally make our bar 'residents only', especially on Rugby Weekends where guests like to sit in our bar to watch... More

We have just got back from a fantastic weekend. We went on an Edwards coach trip to Tenby for the rugby, it also coincided with my husband's birthday and mothers day. My sister in law, niece and our son came with us. Stayed in the Clarence House Hotel, the food was fantastic, the staff very friendly and my husband and... More

Thank you for your lovely review - much appreciated! Thank you for mentioning how disabled friendly we are, as we have spent an enormous amount of money on making the hotel as disabled friendly as possible. The rugby weekends are fun as you noted, but not for the person who is looking for a quite weekend. More

Staying for a couple of nights, bed and breakfast at a very reasonable price. Yes I am in a small room at the back, no view, but it is cosy and nice and warm. So warm that I washed out a couple of things last night and they are dry this morning. In the room there is a TV, tea... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your lovely review. As we are a grade 2 listed building, we are not allowed to replace our sash windows on the older part of the building, but as you commented yourself, our central heating can cope with it! More

I could tell from the hotel's website that rooms were going to be on the small side so no surprise there. Slightly apprehensive when I found out I was sharing the place with a bus party but it wasn't too noisy, but soundproofing wasn't great. Room was clean and (very) freshly painted so glad the window opened for some fresh... More
