We booked at the last minute for our 18th Wedding Anniversary, with the hopes of visiting Skomer and walking the coast path. The weather soon put paid to that but we'd chosen the most expensive rooms in the hotel, sea view and in the main house so were looking forward to a restful time. The room was very comfortable and... My new wife & I were fortunate enough to have our small family wedding at Penally Abbey on the 5th April. Everything (weather included) was perfect. The owners could not have been more obliging & the staff really made you feel special. You won't find better food, & the rooms, well just take a look at the photos !!! The... More

My husband and I spent a long weekend here to celebrate his birthday and were really pleased that we found such a gem. The standard room we booked was large and comfortable with a large bed but smallish windows overlooking the garden. Each morning clean towels and anew bottle of water were left which was nice. My only bug bear... More

This hotel is quite special. Beautiful historic building with decor and furniture to suit the period which gives it a very "oldie worldie" feel. The dining room is stunning and the roomy lounge is inviting with a welcoming log fire in the evenings. The small bar is a cosy place to sit with a drink before dinner. Plenty of choice... More

We chose this hotel as a very last minute 3 night half term break with the children (ages 12&13). Must admit to being a little unsure of the hotels suitability at first as the description & photos gave an impression of it being not particularly child-friendly...more suited to a romantic break with its classic style & beautiful setting. I needn't... More

Myself an my wife recently stayed here on a 3 day mini honeymoon that we fit in during the school holidays. I have to say we were not disapointed. The room was clean and incredibly spacious with a fantastic sea view. The food was equal to any quality restaurant that I have ever eaten in and the staff were very... More

On returning to the venue after a memorable visit 4 years previously expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Staff were very polite, helpful, friendly, atmosphere wonderful and the food superb. Will be going back again. The only thing that stops us going more often is the 2 hour drive!!!! On paying the member of staff made us aware... More

We recently returned from a two night break in this wonderful part of the world, chosing the hotel off the back of good TA reviews. We were not disappointed. A palacial room (7) awaiting together with attentive service and really good food (from the Welsh breakfast to an excellent choice of evening dishes). I would thoroughly recommend the hotel. More

We only stayed for one night but wish we'd stayed longer. Decided on a pre-Christmas break before all the usual mahem. Couldn't have picked a better hotel. As we were staying with our 12 year old son we had to be sure there was something there to keep him amused. As soon as we discovered the little swimming pool and... More
