My only problem with Penally Abbey is the price. We visited in June 08 and paid near on £300 for 2 nights in the St Deiniol’s Lodge. The room itself was very clean, chique and modern but small - no bath, just a small shower. For the price we paid, I was expecting something more luxurious. Breakfast was perfectly acceptable... more

We stayed in their newly built St Deinals Lodge, which is more modern with contemporary furniture, bed etc. Have a look on their website to see how spacious and luxurious they are.... more

It all felt a little bit old-fashioned and if you're looking for a slick, modern hotel this place is definitely not for you, but if you want a quiet... more

A business trip planned for later in January was brought forward and combined with a two night stay at the Abbey. Choosing a hotel and location is always a bit of a chance thing but on arrival at the village of Penally we knew... more
