Stayed here for one night, during a weekend getaway. The room was lovely and spacious, nothing was too much trouble for Julienne. The breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day! Great value for exploring North Devon from.

Stayed for 2 nights and wish it had have been longer. Spotlessly clean good sized room; stayed in room 5. Nothing was too much trouble to Julienne, a definite home from home. Breakfasts second to none. Would most definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We had a lovely two night stay. The room was nice, clean and bright, had everything we needed and it was good to have a sofa in the room so we could relax. Julienne was very friendly and welcoming and Peter cooks a good breakfast!!:-) Highly recommend this lovely guest house.

We stayed here 3 years ago, so this time took our friends with us. We stayed Sunday to Sunday and had rooms 1 & 4 both lovely and good value. As before breakfast great and hosts very helpful, like home from home.. We like to park the car up and with bus stops either side of the road out side... More

Booked through booking.com - guest house description states "boasts free parking and wi-fi". Less than 12 hours before we were due to depart the hotel contacted me to say parking was not available as the hotel was full!. We were planning to put our bikes in the back of the car so wasn't happy to park in the road. To... More

In reply to your review. As mentioned in the numerous emails prior to your cancellation, had you read your room description and booking confirmation details sent to you by Booking.com, you would have seen that it said the following: 'Small Double Room. This comfortable bright room is located on the top floor and features distant sea views. This quiet room... More

At the Dorchester you get a warm welcome from the minute you arrive and everything in this guest house is as it should be. We had an excellent bedroom with an extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast is first class and the home made marmalades are delicious. Plenty of books and DVDs for guests to borrow and wine/beer/spirits are available at a... More

A wonderful sunny weeks stay at the dorchester guest house. Perfect hosts. Beautiful breakfasts. Plenty of choice and all cooked fresh. Nothing is to much trouble. Julienne went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We took our 9 month old baby as we were due to go in 2013, but I fell pregnant in the Christmas 2012, and... More

We stayed at the Dorchester to attend a wedding at Tunnels Beaches, it was walking distance to the venue and to the town centre. The owner was welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, we had the family room which was well decorated and very clean. There was hospitality tray with a selection of biscuits, hot drinks and... More

Our room was peaceful and beautifully presented, with lots of thoughtful extras in the room. We were made to feel very welcome and had a wonderful break. We have stayed in many guest houses and this definitely deserves a 5 star rating!

My wife and I booked for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. We were unexpectedly upgraded and the room we were given was comfy and spacious. A great breakfast, which we gave our cooked option choices for the day before, and a very friendly host. Convenient for mooching into town and along the coast (10 min walk) and nice... More
