I often spend the weekend surfing in North Devon, and always stay at the Woodlands because it's good value, very friendly, clean and the breakfasts are excellent for fuelling you up for a long day in the waves. more

Great place to stay, its quiet and about ten minutes walk in to the town. Much more like a small hotel than your average B&B. Lovely old Victorian building that’s been brought up to date but they have tried hard to keep the sense of the Victorian charm. This is relatively big for a typical English family run B&B, it's more like a small hotel. But you still get to see the owners from time to time.
