Stayed at the Strathmore for 4 nights on a short break. The double room was basic but clean and tidy. Our hosts Heather & Peter (oh and Holly the dog) were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. The guest house is pet friendly and although i think we were the only ones staying without a dog in tow, every pet there was extreemely well behaved and friendly. There are plenty of places to eat locally but i would recommend booking as some are very popular. The breakfast at the Strathmore is excellent and a great start to the day. I would have no problem in staying here again. more
