Have just come back from a wonderful stay at the Strathmore Hotel. We have stayed at the Strathmore Hotel on numerous occasions over the past several years and have always found the facilities and the experience to be of a high standard, with kind and helpful hosts - nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly be back.

This guesthouse is gorgeous. The house is stunning and the breakfast was faultless. The hosts couldn't do enough for you. Lots of little touches in the room, and loads of helpful information. I would definitely stay again.

Too cluttered and a little tired. Poor location of of the television in our bed room.Larger quilt required. Shortage of car parking spaces if not back early.Very good choice of food for breakfast and cooked freshly for you. Well looked after.

Shown to a so called premium room, cluttered, depressing, and a sickly smell of dog. The room was dominated by fridge perched on a table, on opening the fridge we were greeted by a small bottle of mineral water. We left, and sought out another hotel in Ilfracombe. At over £80 for this room, which we lost because we had... More

Thank you for your review, we are so sorry you found one of the two Premier Rooms you had reserved unsatisfactory. You have stated that the room cost you over £80.00 (which you lost) which is in fact incorrect, the second room you reserved of which you make no mention was in fact the room over that cost over £80.00.... We arrived to a vey warm welcome from Pete - always a good start! After checking in, Pete carried our luggage up to our Premium deluxe room, the three of us including Fred the Cocker Spaniel were some what taken back. The room was cramped and very much in need of an update, and dusty (rather tired). We did have... More

We arrived on a rainy Friday afternoon to a warm welcome, and instantly felt at home in this peaceful residence. Our rooms were at the top of an impressive Victorian spiral staircase and were charming with their French toile decor. Very clean, tidy and a well stocked tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuit selection. You can ask for any extras and nothing... More

The Strathmore is situated on the incoming main road to Ilfracombe with approx six car parking spaces at the front of the property. The port and seafront is a ten minute walk away. The guest house provides a good standard of sleeping accommodation. There are some lovely terraces out of the back garden where you can sit and enjoy drinks... More
