After a very rude greeting at reception and told to wait, 20 minutes later we checked in. The room was dated and shabby, much like the rest of the hotel. we travelled with a large party and were allocated rooms in the lodge. This is a 200m walk which when the weather is good, very pleasant. However, if it was rainy or very windy, breakfast would be a chore. No good for old or infirm. The main hotel is very nice with fantastic views and the staff friendly and efficient.... more

Nice location and views, but dreadful decor, service and food. Rooms were from the 70's, shower ran scalding hot or cold. To reach the bar you need to pass through the restaurant , not the best of planning. Restaurant staff were all students with no idea how to serve food.
