Stayed at the Collingdale over the Easter weekend and found a very friendly welcome. Our room had superb sea views and was furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Everything was very clean and well kept. There is also a guest lounge and separate bar. The breakfasts were served speedily and were extremely tasty, with everything you could wish... more

We booked one nights B and B through late rooms.com the day before we arrived, largely because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. We received confirmation from both laterooms.com and direct from the hotel immediately. The mail from the hotel said we had a room with a sea view and indeed we did. The hotel is perched on a cliff... more

Splendid view from our GBP65,00 bedroom. This guest house is more like an hotel with its licenced bar and its huge and beautiful seating room. First class service and Sharon and David are very friendly. No doubt, the best value for money guest house we stayed in during our seven days tour of South West England. A big merci from... more

Just come back from a wonderful 2 days in Ilfracombe. Stayed at the Collingdale Hotel. Sharon welcomed us and showed us round the hotel and to our room. The room itself was very comfortable and tidy with a few nice extras such as a 'ladies box' for any essentials that may have been forgotten. Our room was at the front... more

We had a really enjoyable couple of nights in The Collingdale in September 07. We booked on the basis of other TripAdvisor reviews and they proved accurate. Our en suite bedroom was spotlessly clean and the public areas were comfortable and well maintained. The cooked breakfast was really gorgeous with high quality ingredients being freshly cooked - we could hear... more

We recently spent two nights at the Collingdale. It is very homely and welcoming. Breakfast was hearty and well cooked and presented. Our room was well appointed and clean and the view over the harbour and out to sea is fabulous. We would thoroughly recommend the Collingdale as THE place to stay in Ilfracombe. It is ideally located just above... more

I would agree with recent reviews - having just come back from a stay here, I would suggest to anyone thinking of booking Ilfracombe, to try staying here. The Hosts are friendly & genial, and helpful without being intrusive . The breakfasts are as good as any at this standard of accommodation. It is only a short walk down to... more

A very nice traditional seaside hotel. Spotless rooms and a very generous breakfast.. The owners are friendly and made changes to our booking without fuss. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the location is good, with sea views at the back. I will definitely return when next in Devon. more

Five of us stayed for one night during a last minute drive down the Devon coast. The Collingdale was a lovely suprise: Sharon and Daryl are friendly hosts (without being overbearing) and own a lovely large and light house with views of the harbour and quick access to Ilfracombe harbour and town. Comfortable rooms that are extremely clean and nicely... more
