My daughter and I stayed in the Exmoor Lodge (one bedroom) for August bank holiday weekend and we had the best time! The lodges are set in the most stunning location - very peaceful in the woods with lovely views. Our lodge was at the front so not too much of a hill to walk up but still elevated to... More

Thank so much. I think you have summed up the typical experience hear in just a few words perfectly. I can assure every guest that each year our lodge accommodations get better and better as we continue to invest and enhance. Fortunately, our reviews reflect our efforts since we took over in 2011. We hope to see you again soon.... More

Grattons comes highly recommended by our family, we stayed in Partridge Lodge (2 Adults & 1 Seven year old) and the lodge was really lovely with plenty of room for us. Tea & Coffee and hand soap, washing up liquid, bin liners, toilet roll, air fresheners were already in the room and the cutlery and plates/mugs etc were all to... More

Glad you found the lodge to be spotlessly clean, a top priority for us which is why my wife, Ros, herself checks each lodge after the cleaner has finished - she actually cleans it again to achieve that final 5% finish! Allowing for dogs as you point out means we make extra effort to ensure no sign or smell of... More

Thank you so much for your kind words. We aim to be a 'rambler heaven' and do cater for dogs as you point out. Hope you got to enjoy the dog walks direct from the site as well as the local areas that you rightly point out. If not, do ask us next time as there's some fantastic dog walks... More

We`ve just had a week at Gratton`s Cedar Lodges and can confirm with all the positive reviews. Dave`s reception was spot on, as was the lodge we were in. Excellent views across the valley with a sea view too. If my car was big enough I would have taken the lodge bed with me .This location is central to Devon`s... More

Hi, many thanks, glad you loved the views from Woodpecker. It's my favourite situated lodge at the back of the site and so worth the steep climb up the slope. Pleased to hear more positive feedback on our beds. I think the peace and quite help a good nights sleep too! I couldn't possible comment about keeping caravaners away :-)... More

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Buttercup lodger. The area is nice and is a good walk up from the pub. Some people say the hill is steep, which it is, but nothing too much and provided a enjoyable walk from the local pub. One to note though is both the local pubs lacked real... More

Hello, firstly thank you very much for your honest feedback which I agree with almost entirely. We make every effort possible to provide that personal touch, particularly welcoming guests and so sorry we weren't able to speak to you on or soon after your arrival. Please be assured that this was an isolated case and unless guests arrive very late... More

We stayed in partridge lodge. This was very comfortable and spacious. It had all the amenities you could want including selection of free DVDs in reception. A must is the free range eggs and excellant hospitality. The views from the lodge are outstanding and local walks are even better. Berry Narbour is such a lovely place. The local pub has... More

Hi, thank you, the walks are stunning aren't they? So glad you enjoyed your first visit to North Devon and specifically our lodge site in Berrynarbor. Like other guests, it would appear you braved the rugged landscape to be rewarded with the views and natural environment. Being a 15 minute walk from the South West Coast Path direct from our... This our 4th visit in as many years and the lodges just get better every time. The furniture and appliances have been modernised and the double glazing makes a massive difference. What doesn't change is the beautiful hillside setting and the wonderful beaches nearby, I particularly recommend Putsborough. Dave & Ros are charming hosts and can't do enough to help.... More

Thank you so much for your feedback. So glad you had a great time as a returning guest. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go again, the owner was friendly and welcoming, the site and lodge were clean and tidy. A nice tranquil place to stay, within easy reach of lots of things to do. July and Ed.

Thanks so much for taking the time to feedback and so genuinely glad you enjoyed the peace and tranquility of our lodge site. Thanks also for commenting on the cleanliness and warm welcome which are both hugely important aspects of what we offer here at Grattons Cedar Lodges.
