We`ve just had a week at Gratton`s Cedar Lodges and can confirm with all the positive reviews. Dave`s reception was spot on, as was the lodge we were in. Excellent views across the valley with a sea view too. If my car was big enough I would have taken the lodge bed with me .This location is central to Devon`s... More

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Buttercup lodger. The area is nice and is a good walk up from the pub. Some people say the hill is steep, which it is, but nothing too much and provided a enjoyable walk from the local pub. One to note though is both the local pubs lacked real... More

We stayed in partridge lodge. This was very comfortable and spacious. It had all the amenities you could want including selection of free DVDs in reception. A must is the free range eggs and excellant hospitality. The views from the lodge are outstanding and local walks are even better. Berry Narbour is such a lovely place. The local pub has... More

This our 4th visit in as many years and the lodges just get better every time. The furniture and appliances have been modernised and the double glazing makes a massive difference. What doesn't change is the beautiful hillside setting and the wonderful beaches nearby, I particularly recommend Putsborough. Dave & Ros are charming hosts and can't do enough to help.... More

We came here just after the owners Dave and Ros took over and had a great stay. Our visit this year was even better with accommodation upgraded and higher quality facilities, furniture etc. we stayed in Exmoor which I would highly recommend unless it's the week we are staying there. The view across the valley as you lie in bed... More

Thank you so much for your feedback. So glad you had a great time as a returning guest. Since you visited that first year (2011) when we took over ownership and management of the lodge site, there have been lots of positive changes. It is so pleasing and rewarding for these improvements to be recognized and for guests to enjoy... More

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go again, the owner was friendly and welcoming, the site and lodge were clean and tidy. A nice tranquil place to stay, within easy reach of lots of things to do. July and Ed.

Thanks so much for taking the time to feedback and so genuinely glad you enjoyed the peace and tranquility of our lodge site. Thanks also for commenting on the cleanliness and warm welcome which are both hugely important aspects of what we offer here at Grattons Cedar Lodges. We purposely aim not to be a traditional holiday park. So many... More

I've just come back from my first stay in North Devon, there was a group of 11 adults and 8 children including 2 babies. The lodges were a fantastic base, to explore the wonderful beaches. The lodges were very clean, with proper cooking facilities, sharp knives, plenty of cutlery and crockery, and enough pots and pans to cook a full... More

Hiya, thank so much for your feedback. So glad you liked the lodges. Our lodges are fully equipped with all the standard kitchen appliances, utensils, crockery and the like that you should expect from self-catering accommodation. Thanks also for highlighting sharp knives, a must for any chef! Hope to see you again. Dave & Ros :-) More

We've just returned from a lovely week here & will look forward to returning. The site is easy enough to find with signs & sat nav & I agree about the steep entrance however it's hardly something that can be changed as it's set in a hillside - not the owners fault! Parking easy & no problem. We stayed in... More

Thanks so much for such a glowing review, it means a lot to us as a family business. The first issue you highlight is the steep driveway and you've done it in a fair way I feel. It is steep but given this is North Devon terrain, it does surprise us sometimes when the odd guest reacts as though we've... More

Just returned from a 3 night break at Gratton Cedar Lodges (wish it had of been longer). We stayed in Partridge, it was perfect for us with our teenage daughter and two dogs, more than enough room for us. Everything was so clean and tidy, beds were made up beautifully on arrival and every room had a heater. The shower... More
