The owner and his wife were very helpful accomadating even providing a fan for one of the rooms. the breakfast was freshly cooked and very enjoyable. Having stayed in several different hotels we were very impressed with the quality and value this hotel gives. We stayed in one of the hotels family suites, newly referbished to a very high standard with comfortable beds and 5 star quality bathroom, we were made very welcome and had an exceptional breakfast that kept us going all day. more

Although Ilfracombe is hilly and hard on the walking side it is a nice seaside resort with a mixed quiet and louder side. I love the sea and the trips available from the harbour. The food in this hotel was basic but very plentiful. well worth the money to stay here. more
